  2. Sorry about the double post. Silly phone.
  3. I've had decent luck with the Rick Clunn signature square by luck e strike in copper shad and the turquoise. Runs into rocks like its supposed to

  5. Since I carry a backpack, I just leave them in the bags because I can fit more lol. but there is no harm in putting in boxes
  6. Well since you are considering the Ghost am I incorrect in assuming that your budget is around $100? Tight Lines, MSA
  7. If I'm flipping cover, then I'll just let it go to the bottom and then a slow retrieve through the weeds. Rigged sideways on a EWG to look like a dying sunfish. Haven't really found a specific situation so to speak. Otherwise you can swim it mid-depth or drag it on top of vegetation weightless. The only rigging limit is the imagination! RT baits can be rigged however you want and still produce! Tight lines, MSA
  8. Wow, I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Shellcracker! Punching it through grass and a slowish retrieve has been a fairly regular producer for me(farm ponds). Favorite Rage Tail for sure. Tight Lines, MSA
  9. Shimano Black Maxx? Anyway, the St. Croix would be a solid choice, and like RW, I troll with my A-Rig. Lots of strippers down here in Lake Pleasant. Tight Lines, MSA
  10. Okay thanks guys, I guess I just wanted to hear more about the Orra, cause I haven't really even seen them anywhere. Tight Lines, MSA
  11. Hey Bass Resource, Looking for some experience and knowledge. Have $100 to spend on a reel, kinda narrowed it down to the Abu Garcia Orra 2SX 6.4:1 left hand, and a Lew's SS1 Speed Spool, 6.4:1 left-handed also. Just wondered what you folks thought. I know that Lew's has the $20 rebate going on, but I won't be able to purchase until after it expires, so that is not a game changer for me. Also, kinda on a random note, is Lew's discontinuing the Speed Spool? Started to hear some rumors about it and figured the best place to find some truth would be here. Thanks, Tight Lines, and Good Luck, MSA
  12. If you are looking a the "dial" then the dots indicate where the brake is set. Counterclockwise to increases brake, clockwise to decrease. Hope that helps, welcome. Tight Lines, MSA
  13. Do they still make the 7' Medium? I say this because I was on the BPS website and they only had a med-lt and a MH listed for 7'. Tight lines, MSA
  14. Hey Guys, couldn't figure out were to put this, so I put it here. I just wanted to know if there were any club tournaments or weekend warrior tournaments in the Phoenix, AZ area that would break the bank on entry fees? Bartlett, Roosevelt, or Saguaro aren't too far away, so that isn't a concern. Looked and looked but there too much confusing information out there the sift through it. Buddy and I would like to start fishing some small stuff and needed a little push in the right direction. Thanks BassResource Members. Tight Lines, MSA
  15. The 6' 10" Duckett ghost M is a very nice rod for the money and casts the weightless pretty good. Stuck on dry land, know what your talking about. For a second choice (or personal preference) defiantly the ***. Tight lines, MSA
  16. No problem, I have a Tatula also, and I was just wondering if it would fit my other reel. Found one at a garage sale for a steal because the previous owner HAD to get rid of everything, and I didn't really want to change the one on the Tatula. DaBassMasta
  17. Thanks B-), upgrade in sight.
  18. Hey guys just a quick question, is there a hawgtech handle that could fit the BPS Biopic Plus? Thanks ClAssmAtes
  19. Definitely my situation, glad that you asked this question. I don't know if using a leader is bad or not, but I tie directly to the lure most of the time if I'm not trolling for walleye. (Then I go bottom bouncer with a leader.
  20. Thanks Andrew, the couple of local shops don carry them, but I haven't been to the BPS down in Mesa, so hopefully I'll hit that this weekend and get to play around with one. Thanks so much for all your help guys!
  21. $50-$150 is bout the range. Parents kind of cut it off after that. Even though its my money I would be spending, they're not used to paying more than 30 bucks for a mediocre spinning rod, so they didn't want me going overboard and buying a $450 loomis.
  22. Thanks Andrew, appreciate it. Was looking at the the 13 for my second choice, they are both in my price range, I guess I just need to go play around with the *** and see how it feels, because I played around with the Duckett and the local shop was nice enough to let me put my reel on it and take some practice casts.
  23. Well....I AM trying to improve that. That was an accidental largemouth while pond fishing for panfish but I caught one!
