Raignis

Taking my son out on the Manatee River tomorrow. I haven't been out there for a couple months so, if anyone knows what they're biting on or has a suggestion, I'll take it. He's five and it's going to be his first time fishing out there so, I'm hoping to hook him up on something.

That is on the bottom. I've just started using shaky head in the last couple weeks and have been happy with the results. I find the slow action of it relaxing.

I'm sure it sounds odd, me living in Florida but, I've only ever fished freshwater (bass, bluegill and catfish). River trout sounds like it would be fun. What do they usually bite on? I've been checking maps and there appear to be a couple rivers of some sort in the area I'm going to (Little Tennessee, Betty Creek).

I'm taking my family to the Dillard House in Georgia in June and wanted to do a little fishing while up there. I guess they have a trout pond on the property but, I'm looking to find some other areas to try. Anyone have a suggestion?

I went out to Lake Manatee last weekend last weekend and caught three before breaking the prop shaft on the trolling motor. At that point we called it because the wind was so bad. I was using a black Zoom finesse on a Strike King shaky head jig. Fist time using it and I came away liking the results.
