  1. Need some info on Chickamauga.....
  2. Alot of times it is the top of the transom. Another is the rub rail. Buddy has a 1998 and it was both. All in the rear area. Good luck. You will find it and have a great boat for years to come.
  3. It will discolor your boat interior pieces thats for sure....
  4. Pulled the megabass 110 in pro blue out in my Ohio River tourny Sunday. Struggling to find 12" bass allday. I thought, why not try the bait that has worked all year. BOOM, giant bass in this pool. After catching a catfish and a drum, I didnt think this hard pulling fish was a bass. She jumped completely out of the water and my partner and i just looked at each other and said "It is a BASSSSSS". When it jumped I could have swore it was 8-10 pounds. After seeing 8-10 inch fish most of the day anyway. It ended up being 4.5lbs and was the Big Bass of the tourny by far. She sure looked bigger than 4.5 tho. Solid hard pullin river fish!
  5. Big enough for 2nd place lol Had 11.10lbs and first was 11.19lbs..... Had a bass die on me and cost me .20lbs and the win... Hurts a little but 2nd is better than 3rd..
  6. threw a $25 Megabass jerkbait and got 5 bass and made $250 in my club tourny yesterday. Could a $5 jerkbait do that, probably but I chose to use the Megabass and I think the added confidence helps a great deal.
  7. Wow this thread is blowing my mind. For me its the Arashi square bills. Not a fish and I have several sizes and colors. But wow some of the posts on here are mind blowing.. Warts catch fish in cold water for me DT series do break, they are made from balsa wood... Gotta be careful. They do catch fish tho. Rattle baits are a deadly weapon in the spring on flats and also again in the fall on flats. Favorite bait for big spring bass... Bait ball baits looked like a gimick to me from the start so i never bought one lol
  8. I fought the urge for years. Bought a MB Vision 110 and now I own several of their products. Quality is worth the price. IMO. The older I get the more i like the finer things in life. I kinda feel like I have erned it. Plus if i spend money on stuff and it works, why not!?
  9. Shine those blades up and hold on!
  10. RK Star 55 is number one on my list. Livingstons Ripper lippless, MEGABASS FERMATA, MEGABASS I-JACK, and the baby D-stroyer will be my bait monkey this winter also...
  11. I didnt read all of these, but did anyone meantion fish have to eat or die? Just because it gets tough or the elements get worse, doesn't mean they won't bite. Fishing is "over" when I am dead. I hope to be fishin with the real pro fisherman then!
  12. Great discussion. I always wonder what the next big thing will be. The Livingston guys seem to have someting going. They have blown up lately. Wonder how the new bluetooth lure will work. Sounds interesting. Other than the Rockstar Spro crankbait, i think the suspending Megabass rattlebait be a giant hit.. Great for Guntersville this spring. can't wait to try some out.
  13. Dang Glenn, I am sure "business" people like small business owners will still Gawk at celebrities. Or "business" people may bring a friend or "co-worker" to look around at the new stuff. You make it sound like suit and tie event with bouncers. Bassmasters has over 200 new item pictures up to look at Rchiuz. I like to get my hands on the new Rock Star RK 55 Spro. Looks awesome.
  14. I have been to a similar show for the archery world. They are AWESOME! I met all the TV personalities and got tons of free stuff. I went with a business owner and had a great time seeing all the newest stuff. Even met some fishin guys like Hank Parker and Jimmy Houston. If ICAST is anything like the ATA show, it is worth the trip. If you can get in.....
  15. Palomar for mono and Eugene for floro. I dont worry about knot strength as much as you guys. I worry about my drag. I haven't had a fish break off at the knot much I don't think. Find a knot you feel comfortable with and set your drag good and go catch some hawgs!
  16. He got alot a attention and got beat. Bassmasters is eat up with him. I like the guy and he is a badarse fisherman, but dang it man. He was on more of the classic show than the fisherman that made the dance.
  17. I eat Bass all the time. Big small whatever. They fry up and taste great. The guy that complained about being too fishy,,,, it's fish.... If it taste like something other than fish, why eat it. Bluegill are sought after fish to eat and so are crappie here in southern Indiana. I just had walleye, crappie and bass from Monroe Res last Sunday and i like them all. Bluegill yesterday and it was awesome. Love me some fresh fish.
  18. Havent found a model that fits my face. Most are too big. Wiley X and Maui Jim for me. I want Costas tho... Bass Pro has most models. Maybe try a Sunglass Hut or a specialty place like that.
  19. Willow leaf spinnerbait on the windy bank. Done and done. Not confusing at all!
  20. So here is my question to you guys. Would you consider running on plane thru a long idle zone cheating? We are fishing a lake where half the lake is idle only. I always thought it was a risk reward deal. If someone just runs on plane it takes the time risk out of it. It is also illegal. I see the guys that bump the throttle up and go pretty fast, but on plane??
  21. No need to tear off the one good claw. Alot of crawdads have one claw or one very small claw. My buddy will continue to throw a one claw bait and stil catch bass..
  22. Happens to the best. Ask KVD how the Classic was last year. The best saying ever is, It's called fishin NOT catchin! Good luck and keep fishin!
  23. just a thought. Not trying to be an arse or anything. Maybe you were putting too much pressure on her to get it to the net. Maybe your drag was just a tad bit too strong, maybe. I see a bent hook as if you and the fish both are pulling too hard. Maybe if you would have let her go one more time and let her peter out.... I have not lost a fish due to the hooks on a jerkbait, (Lucky Strike). I got on a great bite this Feb at Guntersville and they did great. Those 5-6 pounders pull really hard there too. A bent hook comes from both sides is all I am saying.
  24. I would love those splizzers but i could never pay that much. The (non) salt water ones are half the price but still too much for me.
