  1. Generally yes. I fish mid lake as well. Jigs and dropshots on the outside weedline, right now I foicused on inside weedline and rocks in 8 fow.
  2. Thanks man, I just need to learn Oneida and the st Lawrence....Oneida always stumps me...this year it's late Sept....
  3. What's everyone's favorite colors for smallmouth and large mouth! Just curious to see what other options work for other people.
  4. Best 5 fish 20lbs probably. Caught 40 plus pike/pickeral.
  5. Cayuga Saturday any of you guys gonna show? Launching out of union springs
  6. Google "reading side imaging" and watch the videos =) that area is the water between you boat and the ground. The deeper you are technically the bigger that area will be.
  7. What map cards can I use for both stated units? Upstate Ny, erie, Champlain, 1000 island Oneida etc.
  8. Thank you so much.
  9. I'm an angler and instead of downplaying my boat I downplayed my electronics haha, so bought a new boat, no electronics, I transfered my 798 ci SI to my new boat, and am looking at a 798c SI, will this work with my AS interlink box I got?
  10. Went to Coneus lake last Friday and hammered them. We t digging for largemouth and caught 2 decent 4lbsers but we're elusive, then went real shallow say 2 to 3 feet and hammered the smallies. Range from dinks to 4 to 5 lbsers. Was a great day. Was even doubling up at some points
  11. Was going to make the haul to Ogdensburg for the new boat, but it snowed and iced and salted the roads up there so I'm grabbing it this week, another week in the garage won't hurt it!#
  12. Smallmouth tend to do this I use catch and release and will use fun clips if needed, last is to fizz the fish if caught deep 20+.
  13. Picking up my new rig!!! So excited haha bought a 2004 nitro 901 cdx with a 200 hp merc.
  14. Me too cause once it comes out of storage, it stays outside =(
  15. Alright time to revive this thread!!! What lakes are ice free?! Honeoye, conesus, silver, Cayuga, sodus bay, etc etc....I know Canandaigua and Seneca for sure!!! Haha
  16. Gonna try this weekend with the new boat. Honeoye ice free yet? Or Cayuga ?
  17. What's your favorite worm to rig on a shaky head and why? What else do you guys throw on a shaky head? Just curious cause I'm not a big user of this bait/rig.
  18. So I tinkered with the fg....way to complex...I fish a lot of drop shot rigs and the flour always gets tore up, so I want a quicker knot, went the uni to uni. Worked great. The modified Albright was one that kept snapping in the knot where the braid would cinch around the flouro. And yes plenty of lube aka saliva to wet the line lol. Gonna try the modified Albright with p line and see if the spiderweb flouro is the culprit.
  19. Hmm I love spiderweb camo braid and stealth braid, I use there ez flouro straight spooled on 2 of my reels works great, but the modified Albright keeps fsiling, I'm going to try the uni to uni and the fg, and if that don't work I'm going to try some p-line instead of ez flouro.
  20. I've tried tying braid to flouro leaders and the knot keeps failing, the flouro keeps snapping in the knot. I'm using spiderwire 12 lbs ez flouro, the line spooled up on baitcaster is great but I can't get the knot to work.....knots to lures is great, but not on leaders any suggestions ? 30 lbs braid to 12 to 16lbs flouro.
  21. Waiting for spring....lol I hibernate and buy gear, this year new boat.
  22. Welcome I live in the Canandaigua area and fish tournaments! Any questions about the lakes or maybe want to step in a bass boat let me know!
  23. So as I feared I have open cell foam.....also the floor is soft.....a buddy came out and tested the transom (tiny drill bit test ?), said it was sound, but the floor is rotted and when the floor is rotted expect a stringer to be rotted....
  24. It appears to be closed foam, and u don't know about the transom, it has a 150 hp Johnson on it....hmmmm.
