  1. I throw on Bruiser Baits swim trails and they work great. I think they also have a good color pallet.
  2. I have been killing it on Strike King in white, but also the Cotton Cordells in chrome blue.
  3. My lipless order came in last night! 4 Cotton Cordells super spots 5 SK Red Eyes 4 Rat-l-traps Z-man project chatter A couple Spro frogs Oh and I scored a 44 in measuring board off eBay for under 20. I couldn't even find a 21 for that price.
  4. Not sick. While I don't have an unopened box. I did place an order while my last order was sitting in a box, opened, but lures still all in the package. This box is my.. I want it, but not use it box.. lol
  5. Save money with school coming up and buy a backpack. I use my son's old one. It fits 3 3700's nicely and one 3600. Plus it has 3 large pouches for storing scents, baits and what not.
  6. I find fishing season helps a lot. In the winter I have nothing but time to look back at the previous season, and it gets me thinking about the up and coming season. This leads me to confuse I want with I need. During the fishing season I concentrate on replacing items, but the orders are not like those in the fall or winter. I just placed my first order since the season started in May and it was only $60, and was limited to strictly to replacing items I have lost.
  7. Look up the Plano utility box 3731. You can store two rows side by side, and they stack nicely. I always keep mine in original bags as not to have an opps melting incident again. Then you take out what you need.
  8. I like my Zekos, and will wear them on and off the boat. They are super light weight, breathe nice, and washable. A little spendy but I like them.
  9. welcome to the site! You have so many options out there, but it comes down to what is right for you. Lews, and Abu Garcia are great options and they aren't going to drain the wallet. Imo get something around 6:4.1 with a MH or H rod. And focus onto one maybe two techniques. Crank and jigging are some good starting points, but there are so many more. As others have said, check out the forums and search topics. There is a plethora of information on this site from some great anglers.
  10. If it's illegal it's wrong. But if there isn't a limit/regulations what are you going to do. Every person has their passion and for us it's fishing. We take catch and release serious to preserve our passion. Others may not feel the same about fishing. You can only hope to educate those who do not know and report illegal activity to preserve the sport.
  11. Welcome from the metro area. Drop me a line if you ever need some north metro lakes.
  12. Oh is going to be a great coming week! LTB, TW order, and boat/fishing/truck accessories will all be here between next Monday-Friday.
  13. Don't completely rule out trucks. The Chevy Colorado sits lower to the ground than a regular truck would. Add running board and it should be easy to get in. Plus you can upgrade to the Z71 and tow more, add a trailer break control. You have lots of options.
  14. I stand by Abu Garcia. The vengeance rod is a great rod, and about $70. If you want a decent rod I have gotten the Abu Garcia vigilante rod from Wal-Mart for under $40.
  15. The Colorado's remind me of a crossover SUV for people who want a truck. It's the same size add a Equanox. But where it gets you is the accessories. LT, LTZ Z71, packages, and it goes on. A 36k truck can get up to 45 real quick.
  16. Yeah 2015 Silverado. The 5.3 v8 pulls around 10k pounds. I looked at the Colorado and the interior is small for the price you pay, a little more gets a lot more truck.
  17. Well it's not tackle, but it is fishing related. My car I traded in wouldn't pull more than my little boat. Now I can open up my boat search to a bigger boat!

    My Tackle

Here is just some of my tackle. This doesn't include my weight box, and plastics.
  19. Okay. So I went back to it with my father in law. To answer a couple questions first. I did seafoam to the gas, and it is fresh gas for this year. I drained the bowl prior to posting. The problem has been fixed but there was more than one problem. First problem was the plugs where right but the gap was off... way off on one. Second problem was the fuel regulator. It is electric but there is a manual switch. This was off not allowing any fuel in. And lastly I crossed the plug wires.. (felt so stupid about this one) but it is up and running 100% now.. thanks for the suggestions!
  20. Hum I looked into this a little more, and it was suggested maybe the carb is gummed up.
  21. First I feel that I should warn you. I am not mechanically inclined.... at all.. so bare with me. I have a 1998 9.9 4 stroke Johnson kicker for my 14 aluminum boat. Last summer the engine ran perfectly. I pull once and it would fire right up. The summer at the beginning the season it ran great, again one pull start. As last month I started to have problems. I would throttle up and it start to kill. If I backed off it would be fine. But now I am getting nothing it won't start. I replaced the plugs, and it still seems as if it is flooded. I have compression add far as I can tell. Any suggestions. Oh I have checked the obvious. Safety kill switch, it's primed, fuel is getting from tank to engine
  22. Rounded back tail fins though point to it being pike.
  23. Juvi northern have a barred appearance when young. I caught one similar to this size. It was about 9 inches or so with the same markings.
  24. Wanna share what Maple Grove lakes? I usually only hit eagle.
