  1. Holy crap that's funny..
  2. I to use skirted frogs over cover. You are not getting the open water I feel to make the legs useful. And at this point the bas is looking at the commotion and outline. So not so much on detail. When I have open water I try to mimic real with legged. Herr there is nothing but the bait to hone in on. I will sometimes use a moded frog with shorter shirt and walk the dog in the open.
  3. I just picked up a ish R2S smalls from TW. paint.. Okay. Hooks... good.. did it perform... ? Bathtub is the Only water around not frozen... And I don't think it's deep enough.
  4. They look good. Good luck to you guys getting them.
  5. /slaps forehead..... north and south have nothing to do with being down stream... gravity dictates the flow... sometimes it flows north... Seriously.. And they let us play with sharp hooks....
  6. My latest purchase(s).... But I promiss I am done until I get my musky combo... (Fingers crossed)
  7. That's great. Lol Spend more to save on shipping only to spend more to get it faster for less. And that ladies and gentlemen is how the bait monkey gets us.
  8. No.. turns into $50 because I want free shipping.
  9. I did the same. Just bought a new rod and reel for only drop shot. I just got the shipment in from TW last night. So I am stoked to try them out. But I got so many new things from poppers and top waters to I think I picked up the DT 16.... duo many in between..
  10. Okay, so.. I might have to go into dangerous territory and shop on tackle warehouse for a holder...
  11. Okay quick question. I just bought a bunch of Roboworms. Is it okay to put them say in a Plano hard case ment for worm storage? I know some like Berkley leaches dry up rock hard, and some will melt together. I just want to know what's safe.
  12. Lucky, thank you. I am decently considering the naci and reg Toro. Once I get the cash I am looking to hit the forums asking for one around 175 to 200 range. I know eBay had them for $200. The rod I was looking at was the volatile in the h for 4 oz lures which is the rod suggested by Abu for the Toro. I'm interested in musky fishing, I think I need steps right now. So if I go Toro with the volatile and later step up to the st croix it would good.
  13. Just got my shipment in today.. I have to say I am impressed with Roboworms colors. You see some things online and when you get it you are not impressed, but this wasn't the case.. great coloration. Plus some other lures I had to get to try out.
  14. Too much to list, but some highlights include Live target wakes R2S whopper popper R2S smalls S waver Mad dog shell cracker and 2 bbz shad in 4 & 6 in. But in all I have spent I think over $300 in New baits alone this year. And it's only January... oh my....
  15. I am looking at an Abu Garcia myself that throws 4oz.. I know my current rod is cheap.... And I mean cheap. I got it at Cabelas and its called a whopem stick.. I think they said it was an of brand of ugly... But it was $39 I think. And I paid like $50 for my okuma reel... And don't get me wrong.. it works, but just wry to heavy for casting.
  16. Yeah.. I am heavily leaving towards the better reel, but this is my first reel musky set up. My 1st was something that would just Handel the lures. So it is great to get insight from people who know better. Always appreciated.
  17. But if I find a cheap NacI I am going with that.
  18. I mostly will be throwing double cow girls, and other inline. I have some 4oz baits, and a mini bull dog. Nothing huge, and that is why I was wondering about the winch series.
  19. The main sudden in the Toro to the winch is 5 lbs of drag, and added spool amount. Don't get me wrong. If I find someone on here selling one when I am liking I am getting the Toro, and I will do my best to get the Toro.
  20. They do BO all at once for free. Now if you want they can break it yup but it cost you. You can also cancel parts of an order and reorder it with another. They offered to do this for me, but I declined because I have mkay of my order waiting on the rat, and if I cancel, my back order items that are on are once again on back order. My understanding is they full BO items when they come stock than fill new orders. But patients is a virtue in fishing, and apparently when ordering tackle at times to...
  21. 2nd best is northern pike. Nothing like fighting long toothy critters. I hope to add musky to this list this year.
  22. Okay, so this year is my big year. I want to break my personal best for a bass (6.2lb) & northern (31 in Can't remember lbs). I also want to fish for my first musky. My problem is with my musky set up. I bought an Okuma ABF last year, and it is just too heavy, and to be honest overkill. Now I would love a Abu Garcia Toro NAcI, but honestly I think again it is overkill. What it your thoughts on a Revo Winch. (5:4.1)? My thought is with the low torque for the bigger baits I would be fine there. Also at I think 16 lbs drag I would be covered for larger pike and a med musky.
  23. Spro originally said early 2015, so the date is strictly controlled by the provider. And I'm in the same boat on waiting on a back orders. In the same order of the bbz I have some Berkley plastics that had a arrival date of unavailable. I think they finally got a shipment date of early March.
  24. I did the same. I ordered one on the black Friday sale and am counting down 2/5 the started shipment date. I also ordered the morning dawn color. With the overall size of 10 in I originally got it on mind to fish for monster northern and musky. I fish this shallow lake that the big fish thrive on top water baits. But I still might gear it towards bass.
