  1. Unfortunatly I don't like eggnog either. But thanks for sharing the recipe. And it isn't a secret anymore. ;D
  2. Does anyone on the forum play this game? If so, I simply cannot get past the 2nd tournament on this game. I am having trouble with lure selection, and when I do catch a salmon, the fish always shake the hook. Can anyone offer any tips to help me out?
  3. Speedbead said it best a while back, "You can put on more clothes when your cold, but when it's hot you can only take off so much before your naked." Or something similar to that.
  4. Great post LBH! That first picture you posted is exactly what I remember when I think of a good snowfall, and walking in the woods. It is so peacefull and serene. You can scream to the top of your lungs, and it doesn't even ecko. I love it!
  5. Even this time of year? I like to wait until it warms up, around noon. Ever get any good fish this time of year in the morning?
  6. Is it true or an old wives tale? Like the cow one.
  7. 3 feet? Wow that is some wind.

  11. hmmmmmm, interesting. I have yet to notice that the bite turns on when the wind picks up. To me it seems the bite dies when the wind picks up.
  12. Why in the heck is wind your friend?
  13. How does wind direction play a role in fishing? And I don't wanna hear "the wind blows the plankton and algea into the down wind shore, and that attracts baitfish, and the baitfish attract the bass." I have heard if the wind is coming in from a certain direction, the fishing will be better and so forth. What's the deal?

  15. I tried it again but could only get 33.... darn you beat me lol ha ha ha! It is all about the timing. Don't just mash the button, wait until you see a group of them running and then let er rip.
  16. I must have missed the joke in there somewhere.
  17. Thanks SPEEDBEAD, your no help. lol The reason I ask is because last week when I went fishing, the lake looked like it was turning over again. But it couldn't have again. So I am wondering if the lake was in fact turning over last week? I doubt it though.
  18. Those are some amazing looking fish! Nice job. Thanks for sharing the story too.
  19. Just wondering when turnover was at your lakes, and what area of the state do you live in?
  20. Welcome to the forum!
  21. This is the diagram I talked about earlier, but I doubt this helps much at all.
  22. That lure is sweet! Nice paint job!
  23. I've had mine around 5.5-6 months now, and have fished with it at least 3 times when it was raining hard. I keep paper towels in the waterproof pocket that have never gotten wet. You are right about the water resistant part though. If you would drop it into the water, it would get the inside wet, but so far I have never had the inside get wet when it was raining. Now if the compartments are open, that is a different story. But I always take everything out of the bag and get it all good & dry when I get home after a day when it is raining. I have a habit of leaving the boxes open and all the lures get wet. I don't like to replace hooks when it isn't needed, so I make sure to let everything dryout before I close the boxes back up and put them back in the bag. I have never had anything in the pockets that I don't open get wet. Basically what I mean by "waterproof" is that if it is raining, you could set the bag outside in the rain, and the inside would stay dry. That is my experience though. Maybe because I am soak and wet anyway I just never noticed the inside of the bag being wet. :-/
  24. I have not washed it yet. I've had the bag around 5.5-6 months now. Just don't set it in a mud puddle, or in mud and you shouldn't have a problem. The bottom of the bag is made of some type of tough rubber, with a peice of hard cardboard in side of it. I have fished with it in down pours, and never had it get dirty to the point where I noticed that it was dirty. If it would get dirty, you could take a damp rag to it, and clean it right off of the surface. I think you are right about what ROLO said in #8.
