  3. hmmmmm, that's where I started looking too. Must have missed it. :-?
  4. Trust me Speedbead, you'll know it when I'm mad. Didn't you read my post a few weeks ago titled "It makes me so sick?" I'm guessing not.
  5. I'm not sure if that falls under Murphy's law or not. I think that is just how life is usually. It's like if your waiting for a phone call, or for someone to come over, and you decide to go to the bathroom, as soon as you sit down either the phone rings or the doorbell rings.
  6. Nice article RW, very well written. Thanks for the link Capn' Cali. I looked for about 30 minutes, but just couldn't find it. I did find an article by Glenn though.
  7. Glad to see a post from you Chug Bug! I looked for the article but couldn't find it. Can you put up a link?
  8. That is too funny avid.
  9. Yaaaahhhhhoooooooo, HAAAPPPPPYYYYYYYY NNNNNEEEEEWWWWW YYYEEEAAAARRRR!!!! It sounds like a war going on outside right now.
  10. No class, thats a good one. ;D He got us talking about him, and that is part of what his outbursts are all about. He wants to get the younger generation more involved in fishing. What other angler can you name that has brought a whole new audience to the sport? And his name is Ike, not Ick.
  11. Good job! Just a question from a city boy. Do you eat squirel?
  12. I got the Eagle fishmark 320 for Christmas. I have yet to get it on the water for a test run, but I downloaded the demo model off of the site and have learned the buttons well. The site is called eaglesonar.com if you want to check it out.
  13. I got about 1.5 hours togo still. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
  14. Powdered Sugar? sure.....j/k That cake sounds really good.
  15. Welcome to the forum! That looks like a nice place to fish.
  16. For Christmas I got a set of the Gander Mountain Guide Series rain gear called TecH2o. Now I have never had rain gear before, but this suit is nice. Normally it retails for $180.00, but I got mine on clearence for $90. They have different versions of the suit, so make sure you are looking at the better quality suits.
  17. I have some YUM garlic, but I don't use it anymore since it dyes the lure a green color, and I had spilled some in my last bag and dyed half the bag green, not to mention the stink that surrounded the bag within a ten foot radius. I buy lures because I think the colors will work for certain conditions, not so I can spray them with green dye. Anyway, you can get away with using it every 20-30 casts or so. It is like an oil and it tends to stay on the lure for a good bit of time. You can use attractant on anything you throw in the water if you want to. It's up to you. I only use attractants when the bass have lockjaw and don't seem to want anything.
  18. Good point Capn' Cali. My largest bass that I caught at night was on a 4 inch YUM dinger.
  19. How could I locate that?? http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1167358924
  20. Anything that makes alot of noise and alot of vibration. If you can find a lighted boat dock, or anywhere with a light over the water, use anything you would normally use in the daytime. I found that fishing at night, around a lighted dock, will improve your sense of feel for when you fish in the daytime.
  21. Boy if only it were that easy to just go to the north side of a lake and catch the biggest bass. Paaalease!!
  22. My Dad has one of the Hocus Locusts. It did seem like he got more bites with it in the summer after the locust hatch, but that may have just been coincidence. I personally thought it was gimmicky, but he caught a bunch of fish with it, including a couple crappie. As far as the red billed rapalas, I have no idea, but you won't find one in my box.
  23. I was wondering if the guys who fish the big circuts have to buy fishing licenses in each state that they fish in?
  24. I was at a tackle shop last weekend and they were selling the 07 fishing licenses. In Pa a resident fishing license is $21.00, but because 99% of the lakes around where I live are stocked with trout, I have to buy a trout/salmon stamp also which is $8.00. In addition I have to buy a Lake Erie stamp so I can fish in Erie which is also $8.00. But you can buy a combination trout/Erie stamp and the state shaves a little bit off the price, both together cost $14.00. So the total for a Pa fishing license is $35.00. I forgot to add that the license is good from January 1 through December 31. So if you buy the current year's license on Dec 1, it would only be good for 31 days.
  25. Another one is Eugene Smith. He is on the pro staff for Sure Life. He may not be a major pro, but he is a pro.
