  1. Lake hopping in Michigan for a week with Mark Zona. Bonus participant would be @A-Jay…
  2. Welcome to Bass Resource Mike! 🐻⬇️
  3. You should also look at @Siebert Outdoors “Lil Man” jig.
  4. Instead of prescription polarized sunglasses I went another route. I bought “over-the-glasses” polarized sunglasses and wear them over my normal prescription eyeglasses. They were about $20 on Amazon. Do I look like a dork? Yep. Do I care? Nope. I fake a Minnesota accent and introduce myself as Babe Winkleman.
  5. I usually resolve to fish more often and then the opposite happens and I fish less than the year prior. So this year I’m resolving to fish LESS. 😁
  6. The only hooks I have trouble sharpening are ones with a cutting edge like Trokars.
  7. I really like a skirted finesse jig in the springtime.
  8. There’s an old adage “Never say never” but… I will NEVER use a spinning rod with anything except braid to leader. Braid for reasons already given, leader mainly for ease of breaking off. I’ve been using uni-to-uni for years and can correctly tie on a new leader in under 2 minutes even while standing waist deep in the middle of a river.
  9. This was my thought too. Why can’t bass fishing be a fun activity instead of ONLY about food or winning money?
  10. I found my ultrasound picture!
  11. You’ve got a great bounce-back game this week for your defense with my beloved Chicago Bears coming to town. Our offensive line can’t run block or pass block. We only rushed for 71 yards last week against the Texans and Caleb was sacked 7 times. Even without Buckner you should be able to get consistent pressure on the QB.
  12. I don’t buy it @MN Fisher. Your sign wouldn’t have any misspelled words on it!
  13. Welcome back to Bass Resource! I was born and raised in WI and lived there until y’all kicked me out in 1997. GO BEARS!!!!!!!
  14. Same!! And I say thank you to every fish before I release it.
  15. Welcome to Bass Resource! 🐻⬇️
  16. I thought it was an Asian Carp. Glad I was wrong! 😁😁😁
  17. Welcome to Bass Resource! 🐻 ⬇️
  18. The only family member I fished with growing up was my uncle, and he only fished walleyes. My interest in (and learning about) bass fishing came from TV and that continues today. - Bill Dance - Hank Parker - Denny Brauer - Mark Zona
  19. My guess is the article was probably AI generated and no one seems to proofread any more……
  20. LM PB (23”) - 7’ MHF black Carbonlite baitcaster w/ black Carbonlite reel. 15# fluoro. 1/2 ounce SK Structure jig and Rage Bug. SM PB (21 3/4”) - custom baitcaster made by @Delaware Valley Tackle 10# Sufix Advance mono. 3/16 ounce SK Bitsy Bug jig in Blue Craw with SK Baby Rage Craw trailer.
  21. When a leader knot thread pops up there are always some members who tie the FG knot at home but tie a different knot on the water. I always wonder why you’d use a leader knot you can’t tie on the water? My personal choice is the uni-to-uni. I use 10# braid and 8-12# fluoro. 3 wraps of the leader then adjust the number of wraps for the braid so both knots end up equal in size. I can tie on a new leader correctly while standing waist deep in the river in under 60 seconds.
  22. Welcome to Bass Resource! I am also in WV and fish the Upper Potomac. I’m in Falling Waters, I assume you live in the Eastern Panhandle somewhere?
  23. I was listening to the MTC show on the SiriusXM NFL station yesterday afternoon when I hear Jim Miller say “Next on the line we have Z-Train from Michigan wants to talk about the Chicago Bears.” Sure enough Mark Zona called in to talk about what my (our?) Beloved Bears should do with the 9th overall pick in next week’s draft. He also said he and his boys were driving down to fish St. Clair then they are attending the draft on Thursday night. No one in my house or family would care but I needed to share with someone!!!
  24. G. Loomis fan boy here. Love the toboggan!!!!
  25. WV does seem to be all about trout, but strippers are very popular here in WV as well. Totally different kind of fishing though… 😁😁😁😁
