  1. Wow, it probably fought like a tank. What a fatty.
  2. 60$ is still quite a bit for a lure.
  3. A big expensive jointed swimbait.
  4. Nice fish! A friend of mine fishes Eagle Lake for musky quite often. The fishing looks spectacular up there.
  5. Most freshwater fish fight less hard than saltwater fish. The first time I went saltwater fishing I was astounded at how hard the fish fought for their size.
  6. Most people set the hook extremely hard while flipping. Try reeling down then lifting. The fish will pull back and will hook itself.
  7. That Fuego looks........ unexciting.
  8. Chronarch 50e is my favorite.
  9. When your vaccum starts growling because there is so much fishing line caught in it. I need to fix my vacuum now...
  10. A lot of guys will say NRX. I've never used one, but the best I've used is a St Croix 6'8 M/XF Legend Elite. I can only assume the Legend Xtreme is better.
  11. Inline spinner (mid-high water column) 1/16th oz bucktail jig (lower water column) And a heavier spoon for casting longer distances
  12. I snagged a dead salmon once. It stunk like a sack of rotting flesh (because that's what is was.)
  13. You're good. Like SirSnookalot said, 1/4 oz won't make a big difference.
  14. I know this is meant as joke, but tying flies is a great idea. You can experiment with as many sizes and patterns as you want, and see what works best, without being limited to what your local fly shop has in stock. Also, start tying flies and see if you can mimic a sweet beaver fly for pitching against all those cedar trees, hahahah
  15. I find that the lighter heads tend to fall slower and allow the hair to have more movement in the water. I only use 1/2 oz jigs in water deeper than 20 feet, 10 feet and shallower I use 1/8-3/16th.
  16. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/143924-how-to-post-a-picture-pics/ See if this helps.
  17. A lot of salmon and steelhead here have those marks, but they don't generally push out like that.
  18. Bucktail jigs are a great lure to use all season long, for many different species, and tying your own is fun and rewarding. Adding a few strands of crystal flash can really improve the look of your jigs as well.
  19. Thought of a Curado 50I is making my mouth water...
  20. A lot of people here refer to any small fish as a sunfish, and any bottom feeder as a sucker. Also, guys will call walleye pickerel , which is a completely different species.
  21. No experience shark fishing, but be careful.
  22. NIce muskie, I have wanted to target them in the Niagara for some time now.
  23. Rock bass are awesome. Last weekend I caught 50-60 on a fly I tied the morning before. I also caught some small out of season bass on the same fly. And they are a lot of fun on an UL rod or fly rod.
  24. Some lake Huron tribs might get Skamanian steelhead, but the Ontario tribs generally don't. In some really large systems (Niagara River), they stay until around mid-June.
