  1. Al Lindner is my favourite, followed closely by Dave Mercer and Bob Izumi.
  2. Storm Arashi 3, Bluegill pattern. The Hot Blue Shad is also a good color.
  3. Not sure about siebert outdoors, but I know TW does. Also thank you for your service.
  4. I kinda like it, but then again I am biased towards Rapala lures.
  5. Rapala original floater size 7, silver black back. Best. Lure. Ever.
  6. Thanks everyone for your help! I think I understand now. I'll go out on the water and see, but by flipping in my hallway, I can already adjust the brakes perfectly.
  7. I use a 6'8'' Light rod for smallmouth.
  8. Thanks! But how do I adjust the internal brakes? I know they have the red pins, but there seems to be 2 that will move up and down, and 2 that will move side to side.
  9. If that's all you are looking for, a 7' MH power, fast action St. croix avid rod (I am assuming that you want a casting rod) is hard to beat. It's a solid, solid rod.
  10. 7' ML spinning-dropshot. 8lb braid 6'6" M spinning-Shaky head.10 lb braid 6'8" L (yes, I said LIGHT) spinning-bass bug popper, inline spinners, original Rapalas. 6lb braid 6'3" MH spinning-flukes, t rigs, small jigs. 14lb braid 6'8" MH casting-Jigs, pitching. 20lb fluorocarbon 7' MH casting, spinnerbait, big crankbait. 15lb fluorocarbon.
  11. I have a new Chronarch CI4 and it is an awesome reel, but if am just not sure how to use the braking system on it. I am used to the external brakes on Tatulas. Any insight on this would be much appreciated. Thanks
  12. I have had a lot of the bills break. Starting to switch to Arashi's, better quality.
  13. I have the same rod paired with a Supreme XT and 20lb 832 for flukes, no problems with the rod at all.The reel on the other hand... Anyways, the rod is a great choice for both hard and soft jerkbaits.
  14. Only a little bit of play in the handle and knobs, no problems in the TWS with 40 lb braid (light frog rod).
  15. I agree 100%. I pinch all my barbs.
  16. The TWS is a little loose on mine too, I wouldnt worry about it. Mine seems very solid.
  17. The Mojo Bass 7' heavy frog rod is a solid choice.
  18. Welcome to the forums!
  19. 8 bass in 15 mins at night off of a dock on a jitterbug. Doesn't get any better than that.
  20. That 1/2 Zinker on a jighead is one of my go to cold water baits.
  21. St croix avid 7' medium action casting rod. Pretty stout crankbait rod so I use t rigs with it too.
  22. I agree, the Tatula is a bigger reel, but it is high quality stuff. The MG is decent, but i would take a Tatula over it any day
  23. A squarebill has a square lip that allows it to bounce off of cover, like logs, without getting hung up. My favorite buzzbait is the Strike King buzz king buzzbait with a 3 prong blade. My favorite squarebill is the Storm Arashi 3 in Hot blue Shad color, and my favorite spinnerbait is the Strike King Premier Plus spinnerbait, with double willow blades. Hope this helps!
