  1. I see lots of points. Fish a jig and twister on those.
  2. The knobs on the beast look NICE!
  3. I just caught like a 3lb largemouth on a squarebill from shore, and it was fairly cloudy. Wait until the rain stops and throw a popper. When it rains all kinds of bugs and stuff fall in the water, and a popper imitates a baitfish feeding on those bugs.
  4. Wow. Wow. Wow. Big. Very very big. Nice!
  5. Squarebill Lipless crank 2" power minnow under float
  6. Make sure that your line isn't slipping
  7. I was 9, and it was my first time fishing. Me and my dad were in a pond in the middle of the city park, and he had just caught a nice largemouth. I got jealous, so my next cast, I threw the lure (rapala original floater) exactly where he had caught his fish, and of course, I caught a fish. A little smallie. A really little smallie. It was really little. Really really little.
  8. Fireline is great, frays fairly easy, but very sensitive and super thin.
  9. I always tell people this. Use a guide insert or hook it onto the reel or something!
  10. I only catch fish when they're wacky rigged, but they look so much better and they are more convenient to fish when Texas rigged. I guess it comes down to whose opinion is more important, mine or the fishes.
  11. I sent you a PM, good luck!
  12. Good point. Get it, point...
  13. I fish the grand river all the time. The carp you see swimming around are spawning, they rarely feed during this, and yes, I have found that they will drive the bass away. Haven't fished many pads there, but if you see fish blowing up on the pads, throw a frog in there and see what happens. I would try using inline spinners, they work great on the rock bass and smallies. One of the most important things that you can do on this river, is find the clear water. I have always caught more fish in the clear water. So pretty much clear water+Spinner= fish. Also, after a rain, try a small popper. They work great. I can also PM you some spots on the Grand that have been the most productive for me.
  14. Not much experience with them, but it sounds like a situation to be throwing a spybait.
  15. 2 new reels, team lews lite, and tournament lite, and an 8.0:1 super duty. Also new custom speed stick rods.
  16. I know, someone released like 6 tilapia in the same pond. I keep wondering if they are still In there.
  17. I caught a nice one on a shad coloured squarebill last night.
  18. That's why I fish barbless now.
  19. When you do, trust me, you will swear that they are evil.
  20. The edges of a school of bait.
  21. Sounds good. The only reason i was wondering is because during the day, bass go under mats to because it is cooler there, but at night, when there is no sun, they would go into more open water. But i guess mats are a good ambush point too, so they would stay there during the night to feed.
