  1. Finally someone said it. Putting undue stress on the fish just so you can take a picture a few hours later is somewhat disrespectful to the resource.
  2. Nothing against people who fish with live bait, it's just not my thing.
  3. Permit, Tarpon and sea run King Salmon.
  4. Crush your barbs. Its easier on you and the fish.
  5. Its almost the time of year for the terrible mess that is our salmon run.
  6. I'll be that guy and say that I don't think snagged fish count at all. Having a hook pull and catch a fish in the side is a tricky situation, and my solution would be to simply not use lures that do this very often.
  7. I have also been wondering this.
  8. You guys need to come up to Lake Ontario during salmon season. Freaking madness... Idiots will cut male salmon/steelhead open looking for eggs, then realize there aren't any and throw the fish in the bushes. Not to mention the snaggers, flossers, even people walking through the river and netting fish. I wait for the late fall steelhead to come in, the cold drives the idiots away.
  9. Buy strung saddle or chinese neck hackle They are usually the cheapest. Don't buy expensive dry fly hackle, there's no need.
  10. Stalking small river steelhead using spinners/flies. Chucking spoons off piers on cool summer/fall nights for chrome King Salmon. Catching Bowfin, Carp, Bass and Pike all in one day right in the middle of the city, all on the fly. So freaking fun...
  11. Turkey Sandwich is correct, it looks to be a Tiger Muskie. Beautiful fish!
  12. Symetre or Sahara. Also look at a Pflueger President, they are solid reels.
  13. Kokanee would be my guess
  14. The KVD crankbaits always seem to break on me.
  15. As long as it doesn't absorb water it should be fine.
  16. No such thing as a nuisance fish - they're all the same to me.
  17. Spinning rod with a small jig and 2'' Power Minnow.
  18. I was steelhead fishing on a river last year when a man walked up on the opposite bank, took all of his clothes off, meditated for a few minutes, ate a banana, then went for a swim in the river (which was full of dead rotting salmon). Yum.
  19. gardnerjigman nailed it. Weightless plastics are killer around docks.
  20. This may seem surprising, but my main weakness is fishing for shallow largemouth. I'm just plain bad at it. I am much more comfortable with deep smallies.
  21. EGG-straordinary idea. (I love egg puns)
  22. LiveTarget makes a Blueback Herring swimbait, it comes in multiple sizes and is 19$ on Tackle Warehouse.
