  1. 1. Put bass rods away 2. Get the pin out and go for chrome!
  2. 1/32nd as well. A 1/200th is the smallest I own though, and did catch a little smallie on it a few weeks ago.
  3. I would go for a 7' M/fast, assuming you are fishing in light to no cover. Get a Fenwick that fits your price range, they are great rods.
  4. Not sure about the Curado I, but the CI4 is one heck of a reel.
  5. Another vote for a Tatula, and pair it with an HMG.
  6. I prefer full grips a bit more, but I use and enjoy both styles.
  7. I'll flip a 1/2 oz jig with a full sized Brush Hog sometimes.
  8. I prefer 2 piece rods for overall portability.
  9. Yep, treat yourself to a 50 size Shimano.
  10. GEEZ! Those are worth a few bucks.
  11. 5-6lb mutton Snapper on a 5'' white super fluke rigged with a 3/8th oz jighead bouncing along the bottom over a reef.
  12. If you want to catch all those, a light/fast or a light/extra fast will serve you well.
  13. Most muskie lures (that I use) are 4-10oz, and I do fish around weeds quite often, but I do agree that they can be caught on lighter gear.
  14. 5/16th oz finesse football head.
  15. You can get a 6'6'' M, 6'6'' MH and 7'H St Croix Premier, all 2 piece.
  16. That would be my second choice for sure, it works great on the walleyes and largemouth up here.
  17. Great setup, my buddy runs an EVX and Milionaire and catches some huge 50''+ fish.
  18. If you want numbers of good sized fish, trolling along creek channels and in open water is the way to go. If you want some exciting strikes, try casting or jigging on the tips of points, deep humps, weedbeds/weedlines and shorelines. As far as equipment goes, a 7'6'' to 9' heavy power casting rod with a 200/400 sized low-profile or round casting reel, spooled with 40-100lb braid, depending on the size of the baits you will be throwing. As far as lures go, big topwaters, bucktails and crankbaits work well, as do big plastics. But keep in mind that muskies will attack smaller lures readily as well. One of my best producing muskie baits is actually a 3/4 oz Rapala BX Swimmer. Make sure you use either a 50-150lb flourocarbon leader, or a wire leader to prevent cutoffs. Tie your knots right, and hold on!
  19. Rapala Original Floating Minnow.
  20. I would agree with a medium/fast action rod, in whichever length is most convenient for you.

  22. They look kinda silly but I'm sure they work well.
  23. You can tell that whoever made that doesn't fish. The reel is upside down.
  24. Pair a Pflueger President with a Fenwick HMG or ETS and you will have a great combo.
