  1. Chronarch 151 CI4 7 gear or Chronarch 51E 6 gear.
  2. Would anyone happen to own one of these rods and be willing to offer some insight on it? 1. How well will it cast/pitch inline spinners and spoons from 3/16 to 3/8 oz? 2. Does the rod have enough backbone for targeting larger trout (5-10lb steelhead) 3. What is the circumference of the blank right where it meets the handle? Any help appreciated, thanks to anyone and everyone who answers!
  3. Sadly, the SH are discontinued..
  4. Pick up anchor before moving the boat. I killed a prop on a rental boat by forgetting to do this.
  5. The purple and red one on the right is beautiful!
  6. Nobody can tell you where the fish are, you need to find the fish, find what they want to eat, and find how fast/slow they want it. That is when you will start catching.
  7. Canoe fishing in a FAST river with my dad (who has never even been in a canoe before),was pretty scary. Especially since he was the one steering. Whose idea was that?
  8. Any whitefish around yet?
  9. if you have 100 to spend, I would say spend 30 on the rod, 30 on the reel, and 40 on the line. A good quality line is always more imporatnt than a good quality reel or rod. Look at some of Cortlands products for some good quality, inexpensive line.
  10. Me too... ugh I feel so gross.
  11. We have a show here called the Spring Fishing and Boat Show. There are generally good deals on tackle (last year there were Rapalas at 4$ apiece), and some fun seminars as well. This year KVD and Mercer are both speaking, along with a bunch of others. However, my favorite part is the trout pond. Last year I fished it for a good 2 hours and caught nothing, and they kicked a guy out for snagging the trout in the pond. Fun times...
  12. I actually like the Stradic FJ, the gold highlights on the spool are nice.
  13. I prefer a 7' ML/F Avid with a Procyon 2000 and 5lb PP. I can fling small jerkbaits quite far with this setup.
  14. No kidding, the white is hideous.
  15. Ripple shads are awesome rigged on a plain jighead or a small wide gap hook.
  16. Again, not sure where you live, but Gagnon Sports in the Oshawa area and SAIL have some great selections.
  17. I think you are thinking the the 364. I am just talking about the regular Komodo.
  18. Thinking of picking one up to use for pitching jigs. 7.3:1 LH model is what I had in mind. Anyone who has used this reel, please comment on your experiences with it. I have heard some great things about it and a few not so great things about it, so I am a bit skeptical.
  19. I tie my own out of marabou and bucktail,
  20. What is the hook called?
  21. 8lb Fireline for big water/bigger fish, otherwise 5lb Power Pro
