  1. ^^^^^^^^^^ That or braid would be perfect
  2. 1) #2 Vibrax spinner 2) Jig+Craw or popper
  3. I would go a little lighter for the line on your spinning rods, but other than that, your setups are fine.
  4. The NaCL 60 is one of the top choices for most hardcore muskie guys up here. You made a good choice. What line will you be using?
  5. DD Largemouth: ........................no 6lb Smallie: 6.1 on a tube. Had a big muskie right behind it too..
  6. I think I have seen Roland Martin using these on a few rods. Either way, they look kinda gimmicky and silly.
  7. How exciting....
  8. UL fishing with small cranks and spinners.
  9. Legend Elite 7'6 ML/XF Daiwa Certate 2000 5lb Power Pro
  10. Can be done (with difficulty). You will want a Medium-Med-Heavy power rod for that. I have a Premier 6'6'' L/F and it is a perfect rod for targeting big resident brown trout on small creeks. For a reel, a Shimano Sahara 500 or 1000 FE would be a great match.
  11. Get a 7-8' MH/F casting rod with braid to use with Jigs-T-rigs and heavy cover. Also, you may benefit from a higher quality spinning rod. However, if an Ugly Stik works for you, then by all means continue using it. I fished with only an Ugly Stik for years and did just fine.
  12. Braid: Everything (for now, have been experimenting with some other lines as well.)
  13. 3.5'' Chompers tube - 6.5lb smallie.
  14. How's that Ardito? I have been considering one myself.
  15. If you can find the old model River Runner, definitely go with that. Easily my favorite rod.
  16. Watched one of his seminars last year. Pretty informative. Talked to him a bit after and he gave me a Subway gift card.
  17. More good quality 2 piece casting rods.
  18. Same thing happened to my LTB jig/worm rod. Got it fixed and it works fine now.
  19. River smallies on UL gear are a blast, but if you want a really hard fight, consider a steelheading trip.
  20. Avid if possible, if not then Rage or Premier.
  21. Flat: DT Flat Silent: Shad Rap
  22. I have the 7' ML/F Avid, and use it as a dropshot rod, but i will be sure to try it for steelhead once spring rolls around.i have been looking to get the 7'6 ml/xf as a light plastics rod for some time now, so I may be able to use it for a couple different things. Thanks for the help.
  23. Taking into account what DVT said, I will probably end up going with a 7'6
  24. I have a 10'6 and a 13' for float fishing, this is strictly a small creek spinner/spoon rod.
  25. The rod is a med-light power and moderate action.
