Had a decent weekend with roughly 38 bass boated.
No giants, but did have some decent ones thrown in.
This one being the best of the day. Falling for a jig/craw.
Hit the water from 10 am thru 2:30 pm today. Managed to boat 7 bass with a few pickerel thrown in.
Big bass coming on a 4” pit boss from lily pads in about 5/6 fow.
6lb 12oz fatty.
Received a couple of their products at last years BBWC.
The clever crank 40 and brainy bugger. They do change color as wvu said and have caught some fish with them. Didn’t notice any difference in catch rate and at this moment are not even in my tackle box and are sitting in the garage with all the other baits/lures not being used.
Current price point to expensive for me also.
I’ve been using this since it came out, for the reasons you mention.
Casts great, super easy to walk/pop. The only thing I didn’t care for were the hooks, which I upgraded.
Flouro is one of those products, where “ime” the more expensive the better it is.
If someone likes just a little bit the lower and/or middle line products ,they would love the top shelf stuff.
Been using this line on two setups in 13 and 15 lb for two years now.
I throw lures from 1/4 up to 1 oz on these two rods. Poppers, squarebills, rattle traps, spinnerbaits ,wakebaits, 110 WP, etc. I believe it will work well with most applications.
Definitely less stretch than “traditional mono” which I like best, excellent knot strength and abrasion resistance also.
The only bad thing is it’s a little pricey.
My most expensive rod Is a Dobyns champ extreme, retails for $340.
While a very nice rod and I like it, not worth it IMO. My less expensive rods ($100 -$140) I like just as much.
Most expensive reels are at $200 each, a Lews tournament pro and pro z.
I like my two Shimano castitas better which retail for $100.
