  1. This technique means taking as much money out of your wallet as they can, and they are laughing all the way to the bank.....don't believe the hype!
  2. Wanted to be a pro baseball player, didn't work out. A friend was a union glazier and got me in 27 years ago. Only a few more to go before retirement, can't wait so I can do more fishing.
  3. I don't know what a bass can or can't see, so I sometimes do use a floro leader but have not had a day where I said, wow that really made a difference. I think with us anglers it's more mental than anything else.
  4. I believe 100 percent of the time, that color only matters some of the time, lol !!!
  5. I switched to 30 lb power pro ( no leader) this year, had my best year on the spinnerbait in over a decade, absolutely love it. Did use mono prior, you can forget that now.
  6. Rods- field and stream, south bend, daiwa, Shakespeare, Abu, Bps. Reels- quantum, Abu, Lews.
  7. Greens and Browns in 1/4 and 3/8 oz for me as I fish mostly shallow clear lakes.
  8. Myself also, if need be I just reel slower, pretty simple.
  9. No, a few plastics and a couple of rods will more than suffice IMO.
  10. my average lmb would be 1.5 to 2 lbs.
  11. Most lakes in my area have lily pads and I have done well with t/ rigged plastics, frogs, jigs, and spinnerbaits.
  12. As mentioned it'll come down to personal preference and I like to use rods in the 6 to 6'8 length with my favorite two being 6'6 in length. I fish off a boat and most of the other boat anglers I know do prefer longer length rods( over 6'8) but to each his own.
  13. I had this happen only one time in over 30 years of bass fishing. Caught two LMB on a mann's baby one-crank. They were about 1.5 lbs each.
  14. Like they said, I'm also right handed and all my reels are left hand retrieve.
  15. Hello and enjoy it!!!
  16. A disappointing day for me is under 10 bass, a decent day would be up to 20, and a good day being over 20 bass. The most I've caught in a day was 61. I fish between 5 and 8 hours.
  17. Nice going! Congrats on your new PB.
  18. Braid here also for three years now. Did use mono before, but like the braid so much more. Hookup ratio much better for me also.
  19. I don't keep much , I have a Plano over/under box and a double size binder for plastics. I might use 20 percent of what I have on a fishing trip, and that's probably high. I usually only buy new when I .....A. run out, B. lose, C. break any. This is all I have and need and I've been bass fishing for over 30 years now.
  20. He's already been deactivated by the Vikings for Sundays game
  21. 1/4 oz seibert Arkie Pumpkin gold orange with paca chunk , working very well in my shallow lakes and ponds.
