I use the yellow power pro, 20lb on spinning and 40lb on baitcasting, love the stuff.
I usually color the last 6ft or so with a black sharpie and or use a floro leader if I feel the need.
I also have one of the zx rods.
Like the grips very much, feels good in hand wet or dry.
And right now for 69 bucks I highly recommend these rods, really nice.
I'd bring my:
7'2" mh/xf for jigs, hollow body frogs, weighted plastics.
7' mh/mf for squarebill cranks and soft plastics.
6'9" mh/f for spinnerbaits and small swimbaits.
Going in blind I'd pound any and all shallow water cover I can find.
I fish jigs, t/rigged plastics, spinnerbaits, cranks, and hollow body frogs.
Mostly hitting shallow water cover....and it helps with most lakes in my area being less than 10 ft.
So there's plenty of it.
I would agree with this 100 percent. I do believe this is the greatest bass catching machine in the world.
But if I don't throw some spinnerbaits, cranks and jigs I think I'd lose my mind.
