I use all left hand retrieves.
The MB is 7.5:1 which is 31" ipt.
A 6.4 or 6.8:1 is 28" ipt.
Three inches per turn is nothing IMO. I use all higher speed reels, it's really not that much of a difference.
I have 3 different lews.
Tournament pro, bb1 , and tournament MB.
There all good reels, but my favorite is the MB which also happens to be the least expensive.
The tournament pro would be my second choice with the BB1 third.
I've been known to release something from time to time that is smelled by others, who then proceed to evacuate the immediate area.....as it pertains to bass, I have no idea.
I've been using yellow pp braid for years, I don't use green at all.
I use 40 lb on bc gear for frogs/pitching to heavier cover(jigs, t/rig plastics). I just color the first 8 to 10 feet with a dark green or black sharpie, works great.
And 15 and 20 lb pp on spinning setup. With leaders on both if need be.
No need to worry about any fading issues. If it does fade slightly its still easy to see.
So much easier on the eyes, great for line watchers. Highly recommend.
I think with heavier baits 1/2 oz and up it will be fine. Casting will suffer with lighter lures.
I use a MH fast vendetta works very well for these applications.
So true....the lakes and ponds I fish are all under 100 acres, and none contain shad.
It's more of a bass here and a bass there. Never seem to catch a bunch in one spot during the fall on my waters.
I use a Abu Garcia vendetta, 6'9" MH fast. It rated for 1/4 to 1 oz.
Works well with other presentations also,( square bills, traps, chatter/buzz-baits, swim jigs, etc.)
Shorter rod much better for me in close quarter casting.
What popped into my head was.....
That's like asking which young lady is the best at this brothel...most of them are very good.
I prefer jiff by the way.
