  1. Medina is full of little bass. I'd hit lake LBJ next time you're in town.
  2. I have 2 Tournament MB's. They are great reels and have held up for two seasons now. I also have an 11 year old Revo S. Its a tank but its the only Garcia I've owned. I can't speak about any of the newest Revos.
  3. Tobacco and alcohol are apart of our culture and should not be made illicit anymore than they already have been. I for one enjoy my chew and my brew. I don't believe sheltering kids is the answer. The world is going to make contact with them one way or another. My kids are going to be ready for that. Not living in some fantasy world primed to have their lives wrecked by reality.
  4. Fished Chesdin this past Monday and Thursday...... The hogs are chasing the ratltrap. I caught several big girls on it. My 67 year old mom caught a 5.8 LB hog on a Middle N, chartreuse and blue. Its a great place to fish right now.
  5. Thanks for the reminder Sam!!!
  6. Lake Chesdin is a tricky lake. Some days its off and some days its on fire. Go to the back of whippernock creek and work your way out towards the main lake. Burn a Ratltrap along the weed edges and eventually you will run into a few. Always works for me. Fall on Chesdin is my favorite time of year to fish it. Find the shad and you'll find the bass close by. Good luck.
  7. Prior service much?!?
  8. Rat-L-Trap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I slammed my boat in reverse while on plane and spun the prop this weekend........ I feel your pain
  10. THIS THIS THIS THIS THISssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Carolina Rigs on the ledges........... Also check out Bulldog Outdoors on YouTube. He's got a tutorial on how to use the Navionics WebApp to target the ledges and depths you want to fish.
  12. Awesome thread! Making me reminisce on some great memories... Here goes... Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina
  13. I hate it when there is anyone else at all on the lake the same time I am. I wish I was the only one.....
  14. Those are some great replies. I do have a few small dings on the prop....... I run shallow water all the time. Sounds about right. Thanks guys.
  15. I love Norman's but I've had to tune my fare share of them...
  16. Welp... Just found out I have a bent prop shaft. My outboard started knocking so I took it in to the shop. The strange thing about it is that I was in open water when it started knocking. I never hit anything (that I know of). So now I'm looking at a huge bill to fix it. Any thoughts on what could have caused this besides hitting something?
  17. The amount of jealously this post causes me is disturbing..... Freaking Awesome collection!
  18. This is probably great advice. I'd also look at the quantum IconPT 119$. Its solid as a rick for its price point.
  19. Hot Sauce is the "Bees Knees"
  20. Falcon Cara T7 Amistad 7'3'' Heavy action perfect tip for hard hook sets. My favorite rod of all time.
  21. This gentleman is spot on. I got a rod tip replaced for five bucks at my tackle store.
  22. I got my hands on one in store the other day. They are light and sensitive. The grip was really tacky and seems like a great idea. I didn't inspect the guides though, wish I would have. I'd give one a shot if I had the cash to burn. Could be your new favorite.
  23. Quantum Icon PT 119$ and Falcon Bucoo rod 100$
  24. The EXO is an amazing reel. I also own several Smoke reels and they are great. Work horse reels all the way. You can find great deals on Ebay for both models. I wouldn't get the Energy, its too gimmicky for me. The Icon PT is a bare bones reel that really performs well for a lower price. You should get your hands on one and see if you like it. Happy hunting!
  25. Just got my first batch of crankbaits since Norman was bought by PRADCO. Made in Guatemala. I was very sad to see that. I always looked forward to seeing the American Flag on the front of the packages... End of an era.
