  1. I fish alot of ponds seein as how thats all we have where I live. Strike king eliminator or shad jerk baits in white or blue fished slow and as they are called with a jerk or twitch works awesome for me give em a shot. The flukes work also just a strike king fan myself
  2. Tie direct always!
  3. Weightless t rig for me and fish it real slow on the bottom
  4. Kvd sqarebills in sexy shad cant go wrong
  5. I think its a matter of what you are comfortable with. Being comfortable translates to confidence and confidence is the most important thing you need whether its in your rod or the bait you are using. Confidence translates to success!
  6. I have found that light colored or even white jerkbaits fished very slow work best for me. Dont have rivers where I live but maybe a keel weighted hook would get it down to or keep it where you need to be in some current? Good luck and remember if you think you are fishing slow enough fish slower!
  7. Totally agree! Dont go spendin a ton of cash until you figure out what suits your style, and doesnt anyone out there buy tackle from their local mom and pop shop anymore? Support the local businesses that are scraping by everyday! These are the guys and gals that really know what works in your area and where they are biting fresh or salt! They can also let you in on places to get to in your area. Long live the local business!
  8. Up here in mass. I have always had great luck with strike king elimanators fished weightless on 4/0 ewg hooks. Caught many 4 to 5 pounders slowly jerking them across the darker areas of claer water ponds and lakes.
  9. If its bassy lookin give it a shot! Bassy 2 you mite not be to the guy in the next boat. Yoy have nothin to lose buy given it a shot rite.? Of course you wouldnt spend ure whole day there if you werent gettin fish now would you? Time to keep movin on down to the next fishy spot or structure whatevr u run intonext. Wouldnt limit myself to one or the other unless I was extremely confident in one of them. Confused yet? Guess what im tryin to say is always fish where when and how you feel mos confident. Thats what I do.
  10. I usually start on the n. West side of the lake, warms up 1st there. Find the warmest water you can and fish jerkbaits hard and soft very slowly. Lipless crankbaits also work well fished slowly and erratically here in mass. Where I live. Good luck!
