  1. Hey Gardenerjigman, how is your friend doing? Just wondering what he did? Others might read this and it might trigger something for them I think that probably all of us have fought this problem in some degree at some point in life. Keep us updated on your friend.
  2. When I was 18 years old i got into a construction union here in the Kansas City area. 36 years later I was able to walk away from it WITH a pension. I still have to work but I have a job that is not a PITA. I also enjoy this job I have now. Not a thing wrong with it. My wife and I have a more enjoyable relationship because of the pension. If I want to go fishing now the boss lets me go. I am the oldest where I now work and I run circles and everyone else. I still get calls from the old boss wanting me to come back. He doesn't have enough money. IE; Go the unions and join or go to a trade school, then work your a $$ off.
  3. I have been wrong twice, divorced them both. Third time is a the right one.
  4. Ah what memories these posts bring back. My Dad loved to fish and hunt. Taught me Bobwhite Quail, dove and pheasant hunting. I don't hunt anymore. In '72 he built a small house on Table Rock Lake. When he retired he almost doubled the size of that home to have room for all of their belongings. Him and Mom moved there from KC Mo in '78. Dad could always find fish, LMB & crappie. He loved to fish. He passed in '03 and Mom in '11. Dad would call me and tell what kind of day he had. I think about him all the time. And Mom too. Love ya Dad andI miss ya.
  5. Lurked for about 6 months and then decided to join. Lived all my life around K.C. I have fished in Canada, all over the state of Kansas and SW Missouri. My folks lived on Table Rock for about 30 years. Enjoyed fishing there with Dad. Learned alot from him. He died in '03 and Mom in '11. Sold their home a while back, way too many memories. I fish all for kinds of Bass, Crappie and do go after Walleye Got an '88 Astroglass recently, been working on that. I am retired from construction but still have to work. CAN'T stand to do nothing, you can only piddle around the house so long before you are BORED. Guess I have rambled enough. I am married w/4 kids, hers an mine. 2 Grandsons. Tight lines all.
  6. I have not posted anything since I joined, however this is going to change. My folks use to live on Table Rock near Roaring River. I enjoy fishing and just being outside on the water. I have been lucky to have fished in Minnesota and Canada. Seen lots of sights that you most likely wouldn't see elsewhere and enjoyed the time. I live in the Kansas City area, still fish Table Rock and I just enjoy catching some fish. Small Mouth, Spotted, Large Mouth and even Crappie. DD's ain't on my screen but I let the world hear about it. I am in my 60's.
