  1. Can't complain when that's the only one you catch. Congrats on the new PB!
  2. Stanley needed 4 wheel drive today with the hydrilla and muck. Couldn't find any bass except in the slop. Missed more bass than I caught due to the slop factor. Ended up with 2 pickerel 2 crappie and 13 bass. Biggest was 4.5

  3. If it's anything like one of the ponds like I fished today try a frog. They normally stay calm when they're covered in weeds until they can see then its light a light switch. Almost every bass caught today came in like this.
  4. Very nice!
  5. Haven't had much time to fish recently but I stopped by one of my private ponds to check on things. There were thousands of these guys cruising the banks.
  6. Glad to see you got out to fish with Rusty. I fished with him on Diamond a few years back. Good guy. Those Ca. DD aren't as easy to catch as most think.
  7. That's my go to frog. I use the 5/0 double take weightless and you can cast it far.
  8. Bet you're glad to be back on the water. Nice fish. Will check out the video when it's ready.
  9. That's what I'm guessing. I have a local quarry pond on friends property and its loaded with 1-1.5lb bass and bluegill that are over a pound also.
  10. Not sure if this is a troll attempt but I'll check back later lol.
  11. ?
  12. Went out hunting for more peacocks and anything else that wanted to play. First fish was a Midas Cichlid. Second a few Mayan Cichlids. A few largemouth mixed in and the rest were peas. One tore the front treble hook off but the same bait was still catching them just with the rear hooks. Caught a bunch on a swimbait including one over 5lbs and missed one in the 6-7 class as he didn't eat the bait enough before I yanked. He came back for it 5 minutes later and missed him again. I would have traded all the peas on this trip for that big dude. Those fish pull hard and don't stop.
  13. If they're going to keep eating I'll keep throwing. 7 and a 5lber today.
  14. More big girls wanted to play this morning. 7 and 8 lber along with a 6lb catfish.
  15. It was one heck of a battle to get the 9lber in from the smaller pond on the two piece cheapo spinning rod I bought due to my travel rod getting messed up during transit. That medium action rod was bent up pretty good during the fight. With 50lb braid I knew the line wouldn't fail. I was hoping for a 10 on that frog . That would have been an interesting deal trying to get her in thru all the vegetation on that flimsy rod.
