  1. I fish in pads and around structure. I rather put more main line on. Spool of 300 yds doesn t cost all that much.
  2. I actually used backing till my wifle holes where faded. I spooled 3 baitcasters today. I still have about 40-50 yards left over. I'll use that for carolina rig or a liter for Braid. I have 15lb test hi seas on my reels. I love that fluocarbon coated line.
  3. I have a question that i'M putting backing on 1St, then my normal line. I'M putting 12LB backing on a baitcaster. My questiob is, how many yards of backing is just to where you can see the wifle holes fadly? Also how much of my normal will i use to fill the spool? I have 3 baitcasters to fill. My line i have is 300 yds. M y spool holds 12lb of 140 yards.
  4. Yes i will for sure. I don't see fabric s oftner helping out any
  5. Someone mentioned something to me today. They don't go and spend 10 bucks on line conditioner. All you do is, get some Fabric softner and add water. Was this dude smoking something. I'd think the softner, would gunk up ruining my gears. What do you all think about this?
  6. I was doing some research today. I came accross these jig heads. The Gary klein, Heavy Cover Jig Heads. Losing jigs then have to spend 4 bucks a. Jig, it can get very costly fast. Has anyone used the, Boss jig heads before? i love using jigs. If there a good buy, i'm going to make football jigs as well. Input vuys, help me out
  7. Abu Garcia Revo SX, my rod Veritas 7 9H with 65Lb Braid
  8. What do you think of hi seas fluo costed line?
  9. Everyone, thanks for the comments and your opinions. You all been a huge help. Okay, i found a Revo SX Reel. It's 20 bucks more then the Orra. I really can not pass up on the Revo. I'm actually glad i didnt buy it today. Ive been reading on the 2 reels i mentioned. I d say 2 weeks now
  10. I checked on the daiwa on amazon. That's a great deal, for you daiwa fans. I never used a daiwa reel. I also, check on amazon and i found an abu garcia revo sx reel. I'd rather pay 20 dollars more for a revo..
  11. It's a tough call either way between the 2
  12. My buddy has a Orra SX Reel. I most say, it'S very smooth. The only reason i picked the Lews Speed Spool LFS. Because of the bigger handle for flipping. The inputs and opinions are awesome guys.
  13. Like the tittle states. Lews Speed spool LFS or Abu Garcia Orra sx
  14. Since the new jersey posting has slowed down, why dont we pick it back up. ts february in 1 day. I look a t winter being over very soon. We had a slow winter not getting a lot of snow. Hopefully that'll stay the same.I'm from the Cumberland County area. I play on fishing in afew weeks. The winter will determine that.
  15. I have 3 other baitcasters. I've been reading reviews on the Daiwa Lexa 100. Just wanted some input on the reel
  16. 160 is what i can spend 160 is what i can spend
  17. As the titles says. My pitvhing rod i had broke last year. I'm getting ready to purchas this setup. Like i said, it's in my price range. Okay, the Reel is a Daiwa Lexa 100 in 7 1 1 ratio, my rod of choice is a Abu Garcia Vengeance rod in 7 6 heavy. Gime some other opinions. I really can not spend anymore. Thanks for hearing guys
  18. Grand Slam is very good. The fluo coated and the 100% fluo line. If it's good for bill dance, then it' s good for me.
  19. It only shows 12lb test line. I can spool 145 yds of 12lb test line. Im putting grand slam fluo line on my reels
  20. Will 300 yards of 15lb test fill 2 baitcaster reels?
  21. I forgot to add that. I did pack up some Jigs.
  22. I'm going to a new location tomorrow. I believe i'll be bank fishing. I have a little list of tackle i;ll be bring along with me. He's the List.. Crankbaits Lipless Cranks Spinnerbaits Swimjigs Jigs Plastics Creature Baits Craws Worms Tubes Crawtubes What else should i bring with me?
  23. Carolina or a Texas Rig
  24. A spinner bait is a great Lure to use. I actually prefer them over Crankbaits. You can throw a Spinner bait anywhere. Unlike a Crankbait, it'll get hung up. Sometimes that could be a good thing with a Crankbait. The Bass sees the crankbait getting hung up in weeds. The bass will strike it. It all depends on where your fishing your Crankbaits at. The depth, color of the water.
  25. I'm getting these, trigger x aggression flappin grub. It's just the same thing almost. I love Strike King products. their plastics cost a lot. Plus i only had so much to spend.
