  1. All of the above. Try everything and anything until you come up with a pattern. I tend to go deeper depth or deeper in the cover. I used to use one presentation and if nothing happened I would change. Now I find a piece of cover and methodically work it over with a few baits, starting with my search baits and working to plastics. Watch that fish finder all the time this time of year. Look for that one stump in deeper water, that little dip on the bottom can be a small creek channel they could be laying in. Usually in the summer the fish feed shallow in the morning and evening and go deeper during the day, but not all. Keep at it you will figure it out.
  2. I keep getting ran off, they need to put signs up. I am looking for more shore places and will but this was also an option.
  3. I am visiting family in the Fox Chain of Lakes in Illinois with no way to fish. A friend of the family was supposed to buy a fishing boat but never found one he liked. I came up for two weeks thinking I was going to be fishing. I will be here until June 14 (Wednesday) and want to go fishing bad. If anyone has a boat and can fit another person I would gladly help with fuel. I can see the lake from the house, drive by them 10 times a day, and can't wet a line. I have my own gear with me. Thanks, Josh
  4. If anyone is interested we are starting a new bass fishing club in the Northern Kentucky area (you can be from Southeast Indiana or Southwest Ohio, we are not that picky.) The reason for this is all the clubs I have approached are invite only or you are put on a waiting list which could take a couple years. We plan on holding tournaments for the club by next spring, any tournaments this year will be 'unofficial.' If you or anyone you know is interested have them email me at trackin_fool@yahoo.com Thanks, Josh
  5. I guess the first question would be what is the water clarity like. I have to fish muddy or stained water most of the year (no joke, I fish the Ohio River creeks) and I can catch fish close to the boat. But if I go to a lake with anything better than stained, I spook them so I have to stay back and make long casts (while trolling a long way in.) Now, about nailing down that waypoint. Use your GPS, by keeping it in one location on your boat, zig-zag back and forth until you find the structure. Keeping in mind that his GPS may not be as good (or yours) so you may have to look around the location a bit. Once you found the location of the structure, mark it, and go fish somewhere else for some hours (considering the water is clear.) So when you come back (that day or some other day) you will know it's exact location. Josh
  6. There is a new bass fishing club starting in the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Southwest Indiana area. New members are welcome (since so many local clubs do not allow it.) If you have any questions I can help answer them, email me at trackin_fool@yahoo.com
  7. I have been following B.A.S.S. all my life (27 now) and just became a member. Mainly because I started fishing tourneys and became addicted. By the way, if anyone one is from the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, or Southwest Indiana there is a new bass fishing club starting and new members are welcome (since so many local clubs do not allow it.) If you have any questions I can help answer them, email me at trackin_fool@yahoo.com Josh
  8. Someone once told me "The guy getting snagged a lot is the guy catching fish." I've proved it over and over again with cranks.
