  1. I love Berkley Trilene XL. Inexpensive, low memory, and I can't remember last time I've had a break off to something other than a pike or pickerel. But thats a bite off.
  2. Nah, the only time I night fish is during summer heat waves. I've tried, but no luck. But during heat waves, I caught a lot. All big too, rarely anything small.
  3. Pujols hit 499 and 500. Even got a nice ovation from the Nats fans.
  4. Yeah being a Braves fan in NY I don't see any games other than the occasional ESPN game or if they're playing NY. This year I got MLB TV. Now I can watch 4 games at the same time lol. I still get blacked out when they play the Mets or Yanks, but I can catch them on tv. I'm surprised you're not able to watch the fish or Atlanta. Can you see Tampa?
  5. 12 Ks and 1 hit over 7. He is still throwing 98 in the 7th inning. Wood is just about matching him though. not quite but he is at 1 ER, 4 hits and 10 Ks over 7.
  6. Scary. Man when these Marlins grow up, the whole NL better look out. It is really incredible the way Miami develops talent. Well actually like that article stated, they don't develop the talent, they just toss them into the show. I'm watching Fernandez pitch against the Braves right now. Atlanta is my team but it is fun watching Fernandez pitch. Insane.
  7. Dont have a thermometer, but it definitely feels warmer than last week. I would say mid 40s.
  8. Thanks!
  9. Thanks! I'm loving the jigs. You will be hearing from me soon! Lol
  10. I was tossing it towards overhanging/submerged trees and branches (To the right of the pictures). Both hits came as I was shaking the jig in place. I was using a black blue flake rage tail chunk for a trailer.
  11. Thanks! Felt awesome.
  12. The Marlins do have a lot of insane talent. In a couple of years they might be an NL powerhouse. It could be a real close race in the East in both leagues.
  13. Finally got 2 today. 19" just over 4 pounds and a 17"er.
  14. Went bank fishing for an hour and a half after work today. Finally saw some signs of life. The water temp is still in the 40s but it was a nice day and the water was active. I got two. The first was 19" and a little over 4 pounds. The second was 17" and not weighed. Both were on a Siebert brush jig.The pictures don't do them justice, (that's a 1/2 oz. jig) but I was by myself. Not bad for my first of 2014.
  15. Nice fish. That's a good weekend right there.
  16. Yeah. I agree. Im predicting the playoff picture to look pretty similar to last year. I don't think the Brewers are going to stick around, I think they're just off to a good start. I think the Cards and Dodgers take the Central and West and I'm really hoping the Braves can take the east again. I don't think Washington really added the pieces they needed to run away with the division, and they are 7-20 against the Braves dating back to last year. As far as the AL East, I agree it's anyone's guess.
  17. Just make sure the rod has the backbone to pull the fish out of whatever you're fishing on top of. I use a 7' MH F. As far as line, I use 30 lb braid. I would go with at least 30 lb.
  18. I definitely fish wacky rigs more often, but I prefer to fish T-rigs. It depends on what structure I'm fishing. If I'm fishing submerged weeds, I go wacky with a weedless wacky hook. If I'm fishing lily pads or submerged/overhanging trees, then I opt for the T-rig.
  19. Yep!
  20. Mine was a $50 Quantum Shaw Grigsby model. WOW what a piece of junk! Tried using it for a half year, then upgraded to a Abu Silvermax. There was no difference in price, but what a difference in performance!
  21. I have this combo, only with the 7' MF premier. Works great, I love it. The President is one sweet reel.
  22. 10lb Seaguar Redlabel fluoro.
  23. Same here. I really think tomorrow will be the day.
