its funny i tell my wife all the time that if anything bad were to go down i would be the most popular guy in the family...lol
you know all you have to do is look what happen with Katrina...you may have to fend for yourselves for a bit until things settle down..We are here in the Midwest living on the New Madrid fault..One day we are going to get a big quake...Even when Joplin got wiped out by a F5 tornado the scum were out.
Looters going thru the wrecked town..harsh words and reason wont do the job in situations such as that ..
I respect what you are doing for your son.I have had a gun in my hands as long as i can remember. For my Bday in the 3rd grade dad gave me a dble barrel 16ga Iticha. you start them young so they respect guns,it will become part of who they are..
Dont let public opinion or relatives sway you from your decision you are passing on a great tradition..
Remember Black Talons their own promo work lead to their demise..There is NO magic bullet. Look very interesting only time will time.
shot placement is the only magic.
I am a big fan of certain kinds of guns. Some call them Assault rifles the warped anti gun people are always trying to ban them.
I own a few.My favorites are my Aug and my Sig 556 patrol..yes they are black and have limited uses ,but they are great for protecting your home
and are a lot of fun.I used to shoot 2 gun match with these two...
An older gentleman with hunting rifles told me that my 'kind' are whats going to end up causing the next ban.I and many like me are so aware of public perception about our weapons of choice we strive to be boy scouts when out at public ranges. These weapons fill a need that nothing else can.Dont say shotgun apples and oranges .why do you think many Pd's now have Ar's in the trunk of patrol cars..? Because they understand the
value of having a weapon like this close at hand.
just my .02
all i ask is that the reply's be civil.
Before we had legal concealed carry i still carried..not going to be a victim.Yes i knew what would happen if the PD caught me,as a great man once told me its better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
i am a good citizen never had an issue with the law, ever. block captain, ex Army 11Bravo. BUT my job is to protect my family so i carried.
i carry legal now . I hope i shake off this mortal coil and never have to use .my guns, other than poke holes in paper.
Jitterbug 5/ oz black

Im a bluegill fan..great eating and on a fly rod a blast to catch..have a cple of farm ponds with weeping willows that overhang the water..getting a fly back up in there is a challenge but 'OH' so worth it..
Im glad i read this.I am getting a boat this year and now even before the boat i have rules.if you step in the boat.PFD's required...I will be fishing the Meramac and other rivers in my area.we lose people every year.
One question im a big boy a little over 6ft and 275 do they make a PFD that will keep ME afloat..lol...i am real broad across the chest have a god awful time finding shirts that fit.Am i going to have any issue finding a flotation device..?
i have always remove the hooks i have the tools to get them out if they are deep...if a hook dissolved that fast we would get a bass in,hooks would snap.
Hey all
i am in St.louis city...St.l hills to be exact.I fish all the city lakes.looking for feedback from others that do as well. Also all the county parks.
I have a rapala in the bleeding shad,i like the lip less because there is no setting the hook, they smack it good..i was bass fishing at the edge of some dollar size lily pads when i had something hit that dang lure.I thought i had THE bass...lol...was a flippin bowfin, dog fish what ever you call it your part of the country.Big sob too.Chewed the heck out that lure..
you know guys i have fished my whole life i was 7 i caught a 17lb black carp,by myself...stomach was sore for a week from the rod butt digging in.Had my pic on the tackle shop wall until i was 12...I say all this because fishing is a part of my earliest memorys. Its a part of my life not just a hobby.
I started this thread because i had NO CLUE that a 600.00 dollar reel was even made..I only knew after i spent a moment on the internet..I was floored...I asked the question because i wanted to know how a perfectly good reel could be had for a hundred dollars yet a reel was out there that cost 6x more.I was hoping to clearly see what that difference was,not get everybody ticking on each others leg.i didnt right ticking i guess its some sort of censor software...but you know what i meant.
So be mellow..fishing is far to much fun for all these hostil vibes, man.Yes im a cheech and chong fan...lmao..
you know it was on the news and i never gave it much thought ..other than the bad guys are getting creative..we also had bad guys pretending to be the gas man, cable guy...
