  1. dont let any garage talk you into any kind of spacers, they are hard on front hub bearings.modern GM's the front hub bearings are not an issue i guess just something to be aware of.I have changed dozens.
  2. Oh yeah like that...got to figure out of to post pics here.....Chub's is ugly put i do love that truck..( the wife said it had to have a name..so Chub's it was )
  3. buy minnows and meal worms there all the time.I always had the impression he was on the expensive side.I will call and see what he has..
  4. okay that would make sense..are there any 100 dollar or so good worm rods..? I have fished a loooong time. just recently started thinking about having one combo to do this and another combo to do that...up to lets say the last few years all rods and reels wore many different hats.
  5. Did some searching and there are several in the Lake of the O' area. Not looking to join one of those, trying to find one here in the Metro area..Want to find others that fish when and where they can. Thanks
  6. I traded a 5 yr laptop (in great shape worth about 150 ) and a box of bulk .22lr for a a NIB Abu Garcia Revo Premier. The rod is a 7' Ugly stick M action..I have owned a few Ugly's and always liked them..I have spooled it up with 12lb Trilene transoptic line.. I looked the reel up and it seems to be a good reel, what do you think will the Ugly Stick work okay with this set up,id like to thinks so..looking on CL trying to look to see what other rods are out there..Im already looking for one rod for the reel my bil got me back in Dec' 13.Is the rod too soft for a worm rod..?
  7. Now it is a 1 ton 4x4.I have the Dana 60 4 bolt flat top ball joints (good if you ever want cross over above the axle steering ) in the front 4.11 Richmond gear. The rear is a FF 14 bolt with an Auburn locker..both are fresh rebuilds. A 454 carbed with Edelbrock Performer intake,Barry Grant 750cfm vac sec ( and yes MPG SUCKS..lmao ) 400 turbo and 205 transfer case.Custom driveshafts, all new u joints. When the conversion to 4 wd was done all new leaf springs were done it has about a 6in lift..brand new white GM 16.5 x9.5 steelies and BF Goodrich MT 33x12.5x16.5 tires Interior is all original.Including radio, floor mats,carpet...headliner is toast...and of course the dreaded GM clear coat peel...custom tube front and rear bumpers. When it was -09 below the big beast started right up..Loved it when we got a foot of snow, spend the next few days trying to get stuck...lol...pulled a bunch of folks back on the road. Got lucky no rust anywhere on the truck, came from Texas and i am the first person in Mo. to own it...Yeah its big, ugly and gas mileage sucks but it will tow anything, its got tons of room inside and its not a belly button truck..
  8. I dont think we have them this far south.Have not heard of any. Correct me if im wrong arent this species invasive and wreck the eco system anywhere they are..??
  9. Just like they ' FIXED ' ...Wiggle Warts...got lucky in a trade, ended up with a tray full.
  10. yeah i like that idea.....i will tell the wife its this sites fault.lol
  11. i like the fact that firearm factory's are rolling up the side walk when a state becomes to anti gun, they move where they are appreciated.. i dont like that fact people lose jobs...It would be one thing if Pro Gun folks were demanding that laws be passed everyone HAS to own a gun..
  12. all my guns have been acquired thru legal trades..have not done a 4473 on the lot.NY is insane with some of the stuff they do.My son in law is at Ft. Drum..he was telling me a pack of smokes is almost 12 bucks..!! i am glad i dont smoke.
  13. Your fine.Shoot it and enjoy it.Modern ammo is safe
  14. ammo is pretty good here.we have a cabelas which does a very nice job of keeping it in stock.. the almost 10% tax rate where they are located at, now that is rough...
  15. NO it says 'GUN' not hunting.Guns can do other things.AND the conversation i wont have is graphic details on how well the 223/5.56 works as an effective weapon in war...I want to have a discussion about types of weapons not the damage they cause.None of my discussion has been political i have made sure of that. Truth be know i hate politics and politicians they only seek to further their own agenda regardless of which side of the aisle they are from. I love guns, shooting guns, collecting guns and training with them until i am as good as i can humanly be.SO one day God forbid i have to use one, no one..NO ONE !!!..but the bad guy will be in danger.
  16. thanks helped me too.we have a lot of stocked city lakes all about 6/8 ft some with structure that has been placed..(think christmas trees) .A few have deeper parts 10/12 ft.. All are stocked with bass and crappie. Some this time of year with rainbow trout..
  17. good point if your going to hoa..... i mean have a large collection you could do worse than tackle..I have started giving away some stuff i get in trades.I do A LOT of trades...lmao..gave a good friend a nice BC and Spinning set up last night...now i have to move fewer rods and reels to get to my stack of tackle boxs..
  18. No i didnt say that. I said ' unstable '.. i am a vet also ex army mos 11bravo...they tumble ..only at greater distance do they just punch a clean hole..up to 100 yards they will tumble and sometimes break apart at the crimp...when they hit bone most times it creates secondary wounds from bone shards.I dont really want to get more graphic than that.. I have been there done that,in person. If this round didnt work we wouldnt still have it as our main battle round, and the are dozens of other country's that use it as well. dont want to really have this conversation here.My point in starting this thread was really to show other pro gun people ( hunters, folks with wood guns ) we are all on the same side..And to not let the anti gun crowd drive a wedge between to factions of pro-gun groups.
  19. now here is a little info from someone who knows..ME..FMJ out of an AR style gun..which i dont own,im more into unusual rifles..Austrian AUG..Swiss 556. These 55grn rounds traveling over 3,000 fps become unstable almost the instant they come in contact with soft tissue..If they hit a bone it is like a small explosion going off.Shards everywhere..OUR military has been using this round for a long time..They do not over-penetrate like they are supposed to..go to a site BoxOTruth and they show how far they penetrate..nothing like you would expect. There is really NO recoil to speak of making it very easy to stay on target,if ever fired in a home, you will lose your hearing.Very LOUD. Most time i have a Sig in my hand if i hear something out of place..BUT i have a clip in the Aug in the bedroom and a clip in the Sig in my room,,(man cave)..unlike a lot of fellow Ebw guys i dont have a lot of bells and whistles on mine..Iron sights with a flashlight..
  20. when JUST your crank baits number in the hundreds, and you have a FEW tackle boxs just for soft baits..lol..im cursed i am married to a wife of 30 years that can count..lol..d**n the luck
  21. hmmmmm......i have a FEW things...lol
  22. LOL.....you guys crack me up....we who use these guns and collect them are nuts about being on the up and up..nothing hurts my cause more than some mopp with a sawed off illegal gun telling everyone he's pro gun, sometimes i wish SOME people didnt agree with me.
  23. Im thinking a 15-17ft by 48" wide Jon boat.Small horsepower outboard and a pair od good trolling motors.A good fish finder and maybe even one of those underwater camera systems they have...It looks like a fish finder and has like 50ft of cord, small illuminated camera on the end..small about the size of a 35mm film cannister. most times it would be small lake fishing, some river fishing..once in awhile maybe Table rock,or Lake of the O'.I know that flat bottom boats dont handle rough waters well so i am always going to aware of that. Want to see how your Jon Boats are set up,looking for ideas and what worked for others. Thanks Bobby
  24. Zero Going to use it to pay all those annoying bills.Plates and repairs for both cars.
  25. Hhhm i heard when i was growing up on the farm....dad would yawn and lean back and say 'id stretch a country mile, but its to far to walk back'....now we are from Arkansas sooooo.
