  1. The St. Croix M/XF and ML/XF rods will work for this application. I throw my 4 straight tail worms on a Legend Tournament Bass "Wacky Style" spinning rod. I know the casting rods are built on the same blank so I don't think you'd have any issues throwing on on the casting model.
  2. I really like the Trokar Weedless Wacky hooks
  3. Trokar Weedless Wacky's is what I use and haven't had an issue with them!
  4. I've used straight 6# FC last year and decided to try to switch to braid and a FC leader this year. Didn't like the braid to fc at first but it's growing on me a little. At this point though, I'd say I still like straight FC better.
  5. You gotta look at it from a marketing standpoint....they aren't going to say "Check out the new Veritas 2.0 if you're looking for a decent rod, but not the best one out there."
  6. Ram Mount is what you want. No they aren't super cheap but they will provide the flexibility that you want.
  7. Congrats on your new PB!
  8. A Blakemore Road Runner would be a good option. They can catch anything that swims and will still usually catch something under the toughest conditions. You can't fish them wrong as long as you fish them slow!
  9. Probably a black and blue laminate Yum Dinger.
  10. It depends on what you plan on using it for.
  11. If I had to pick just one type of presentation, I'd have to say a dropshot is my favorite for smallies. If you know they're there, it's tough to beat. If you can find rock/ gravel with patches of grass, you might just find the mother load.
  12. I'm guessing it's got a flowrite valve it in for the livewell. Depending on what valve is installed, it will let in water as it's supposed to. That way as the pump runs it brings in some fresh water instead of recirculating it all. There should be a dial or switch somewhere that would offer a little more information as to what you have.
  13. I'm going to say a Blakemore Road Runner. If it swims you can catch it on a Road Runner!
  14. More proof that the hook trick really does work.
  15. Because you also said frogs I'm going to say braid. Put a short leader on for baits with treble hooks to prevent the braid from fouling your hooks.
  16. It'll be the next "BIG" thing in fishing haha
  17. I wish they would have let us watch this video when I was getting trained on fork lift!
  18. He's taking the big worm fishing to a whole new level!
  19. If I had to guess, I'd say it'd have to do with the changing weather conditions. A wind that doesn't blow from one consistent direction is usually a good indication of a changing weather pattern and can mess with fishing quite a bit.
  20. Tungsten is more dense and harder than lead. This will cut your size of weight roughly in half. The smaller size in most cases will help to alleviate a lot of hang ups as well as give your bait a more realistic presentation. Given it's properties it transmits sound and vibration better than lead and the added vibration transition will allow you to have a better feel of the bottom. Also, because it's harder, it won't deform like lead. Believe it or not, because lead is such a soft metal, a basses "teeth" or Velcro-like ridge can actually dig into lead when you set the hook reducing your hook setting power. Tungsten's hardness and decreased size will not allow this to happen and effectively the weight slides right through letting you transfer all the energy to the hook set. Above all else, even though using lead weights hasn't been proven to be detrimental to waters, but there's something that tells me that dumping a substance that is known to cause birth defects among other things into our waters can't be a good thing. Tungsten although more expensive is a more environmentally friendly material. There have been reports of people having issues with the insert free weights cutting line, but these are due to poorly made weights. If you're in the market, check out Eco Pro Tungsten. Not only will you have zero issues with them, they also make some very innovative products that you won't find anywhere else!
  21. Looks like a sweet new rod! I'm going to have to get my hands on one!
  22. Looks like interference from another unit.
  23. 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado. 4.7 V8 Hoping to get a truck soon.
  24. I really think you're worrying too much about this but here's the best plug out there. http://www.boatstore.com/ranger-trolling-motor-plug-and-receptacle-trolling-motor-plug-display-pack.html?utm_source=googlepepla&utm_medium=adwords&id=22209859648&gclid=CKjdzabZtb8CFQaJaQods44Aug http://www.boatstore.com/ranger-trolling-motor-plug-and-receptacle-trolling-motor-receptacle.html there's no wires on either side, you wire runs directly to the terminals.
  25. You should be able to use any topwater on it as long as it's within the weight rating on the rod.
