  1. It varies from state to state. In WI boats under 16' don't have a title. The registration card is all you need as that functions as the title. Down there you'd have to check with either the DNR or the DMV whichever titles boats in IA. If you need a title, you can just fill out a form and they'll send it to you. They may be able to print it right there too.
  2. A guy in the bass club I'm in took his clean off on a rock bar the day before the state tournament. He ran it that way the next two days of the tourney and said he didn't notice any difference with off vs having it on.
  3. There shouldn't be anything moving around inside it. It might still work for now, but I wouldn't bank on it working for a whole lot longer.
  4. They should be changed every 2 to 5 years. Even if you don't use it they can dry out. I'd rather spend a few bucks than a lot of them because I was trying to skimp.
  5. I'd be guessing right around 5 and a half pounds.
  6. My favorite would have to be a spinnerbait.
  7. I'd take a look at what techniques you use the most and the weight of the baits you're going to throw. The medium power is going to be a very versatile rod. I'm thinking that's the one that you'll be best off with.
  8. Congrats on the win!
  9. Being that he's an FLW tour pro they usually get them at The Winning Team. I'm sure you could get the jersey in that color, but I'm not sure they'd allow you to use the logos unless you get permission from the companies. It might be worth looking into though, their website is www.thewinningteam.com
  10. Looks fairly chunky and at 20" I'd be saying it'd be hovering right around that 5lb mark. Either way nice fish!
  11. Thanks, I just got tired always digging through the bags trying to find the pack I was looking for. When I did find it I'd usually pull it out and tuck it in a in a speed bag so I could find it again easily, but then I'd forget where I put it by the next time I went fishing and I'd be back to digging all over again. This way I know where they are, and I know what I've got and what I need to get and they all stay within reach when I need them.
  12. It's pretty easy. You go online and download their update file and put it on an sd card to put in your locator. You turn it on, let the update do it's thing and then it's done. There's more detailed instructions on the Lowrance website, but it's pretty straight forward.
  13. Damage to the skeg is not that big of a deal. My friend completely ripped his off on his 50 hp Mercury when he hit a rock. A guy in the bass club I'm in also ripped his clean off as well. Either way it's not a hard fix, it'll run a little over $100. You want to make sure that the lower unit is ok by checking the lower unit grease to make sure there's not a ton of metal shavings in there. As long as everything else checks out I don't see a reason not to purchase it. And impellers should be replaced every 3 at the least. Even if not in use the rubber used in the impeller can actually dry out so it needs to be changed regardless.
  14. That will work. I keep my most heavily used baits in boxes, and those I use less frequently I in the original packaging in ziplock bags. I'll label those normally by bait type.
  15. Nice fish man!
  16. Booyah Pad Crasher Spro Bronzeye Frog Live Target Frog ....I rather enjoy throwing frogs haha
  17. I've got a mix of both, but if I had to choose I'd rather have cork. I think it looks nice even once aged.
  18. Congrats on the new boat!
  19. I've been using Terminatiors since they hit the market and haven't had the problem you're having with any of them, even with the Oklahoma blades. Maybe you're trailer hook is too big and catching the blades on your cast?
  20. Your rod should be able to handle it. Don't crank your drag down to lockdown and don't try horsing it and you'll be just fine.
  21. I'm glad you had a good time! I've fished two of the Oakley tourneys down in Oklahoma and had a great time as well. Haha it just goes to show, it doesn't matter what you fish out of, the fisherman is still the one who's got to catch the fish.
  22. The Avid's and Avid X's will be very solid performers. For what you're doing I'd be guessing a medium heavy would be good, but it really depends on what techniques you plan on using it for primarily.
