  1. Ditto. The best place i have visited/lived is the low country of South Carolina, Charleston area. Wonderful people.....But East Tennessee isn't bad either.
  2. And wine with everything!!!
  3. With of lack of rain the water is clearer than normal. Wait until this fall/winter when the lake is so muddy it looks like you could walk on it.
  4. I understand. I was thinking of a functional need, not a space limit.
  5. Don't intend to steal the thread, but why do you need to add hydraulic steering to add Talons/power poles?
  6. I believe we will see a different team this week in Bristol. The coaches played a vanilla offense and defense against App State and it nearly got them beat. This is the same team as last year since they didn't lose but a few players. Should have been much better last week and should be much better this week at the Bristol circus....Time will tell
  7. Most fishermen in this area are more concerned about water color than crayfish color. Use a color the fish can see as Ft Loudon water colors will change from stained to muddy depending on weather. Many fishermen use black or black/blue. The actual color of the crayfish are rusty/red in early spring to dark green with shades of brown the rest of the year.
  8. Better than the Oklahoma or LSU fans!!! Or USC fans, Lol
  9. If your Champion is like my 98 Champion the light is the switch. You rotate the lens to operate the switch. However it is powered through the main power switch. No need to repair, push on the corner of the lens, the light should go off.
  10. Go Vols!!! I'm hoping this is the year.
  11. I fish green and rust colors year round in East Tennessee but I do not fish Fort Loudon regularly.
  12. He will probably be running for president in 4 years. lol
  13. On the Lowrance units I have had you must hold the power button depressed for a few seconds to power it down.
  14. As Rhino says, some axles have a grease channel drilled thru the axle to the inner bearings and have a zerk fitting threaded into the end of the axle. Others have the bearing buddy attached with the zerk fitting. They will not behave the same when greasing if everything is good. But with basic hydraulics when grease is put in under some pressure(grease gun) either air or grease must come out. And when the air is all pushed out, the cavity full, grease will come out, usually through the rear seal as it has no place to go. I have seen a bearing buddy pushed out with grease but I think this is rare.
  15. I would call him a poet.....great response.
  16. I have stopped recommending this product after a few years use. My bass boats primary color is white and after using BTS routinely the boat turned a dull yellow, over time. Either the BTS turned it yellow or did not prevent something else from turning the boat yellow(above the water line). I used Mothers brand cleaning wax to return it to white and it was very evident where I had waxed and it returned the boat to a bright white. May be fine on colors but I would test it after using the BTS for a while. Just my observation...
  17. How I admire you. My wife and I are planning to do the same trip. We have been looking at RV's, and wow, they are proud of them. We are still nearly two years from her retirement so we have plenty of time to plan. Hope you have a wonderful and safe journey. Enjoy....
  18. Congrats, your little piece of heaven......
  19. You can add the Seafoam now. It will mix with Stabil without any problems. I generally run a mixture of both all the time. Results vary from boat to boat however many love Seafoam, myself included.
  20. I have been told that the ethanol cleans your fuel system better than gasoline also. In your case it may have cleaned the bottom of the tank and sent the debris through the system which caused the problem. It doesn't take much to be a problem.
  21. Hey Mike, you are staying across the road from my house. I live on the road directly across 92 from the Breezie Point Rd. We can stay in touch, and as time gets closer I can help you. The weather/water temp will have a large impact fish activity that time of year as well as water level. The water level will be approximately 40 feet below full pool, and dropping for winter pool, so map study in advance is difficult that time of year. I would suggest trailering your boat to different ramps for access to different areas of the lake. There are many ramps available and easy/short drives. There are some areas near point 2 that are my favorite that time of year. Normally shallow running crank baits, rattletraps etc are the lures of choice that time of year, as well as topwater lures. Wet weather can muddy the water quickly so the correct colors can make a big difference(chartreuse). Wind can muddy it as well since so much bank is bare. Crank bait wise be prepared to fish as deep as 10-12 feet but will probably more shallow. We can meet when you get here and i can mark some areas on your map and direct to the best launch for the area you want to fish. PM me as time gets closer and we can make plans to meet or give directions......Al
  22. I have a friend that made the very switch you are considering two years ago. He told me the Ranger was faster but the ride was not nearly as good as the Champion. He also went from Yamaha to Pro XS. I think his outboards were both 250's, can't remember for sure on the Yamaha. I can try to put you together if you wish and he doesn't mind. Let me know.....Al
  23. Thanks A-jay for the research. Bushy Park launch is where I had planned to launch. The Back River is the route I had planned to travel and the bridge in question, next to the Cypress Garden launch, is actually on the Back River. I had mistakenly called the Cooper River. my mistake. You are correct it is a straight shot to the cooper and eliminates running a long trip running in brackish water(Cooper River). Thanks again......Al
  24. My concern would be the reaction of Flex Seal and carpet glue......
  25. Thanks. I was stationed at the Naval Weapons Station for 8 years. I am familiar with the security practices. Your are correct it is not a joke but the area I am asking about is not around the weapons station security area, but thanks for the info.
