  1. As stated above it is a fuel system cleaner but it also decarbs an engine, which is a big benefit for an outboard, especially a two stroke. There are several u tube videos that show the interior of an engine before and after using seafoam(with a camera thru the spark plug hole), it works. I don't know that it is any better than the Mercury product but I suspect for $6.50 at Walmart, it is cheaper(just a guess). I free pour when I mix in a gas can but I would suggest mixing by the directions if you are in doubt.
  2. I know it's hard to believe. And there are folks that want the government more involved.
  3. That's great! Glad everyone is good.....
  4. They will tell you it is for for theft protection. It is really for revenue.....never pass a chance to get your money. Here they will tell you cameras at intersections(so they can mail you a ticket) prevent accidents. Pure BS, it's all about the money. The local Sheriff can't keep a straight face when asked about it.
  5. These must be local area commercials. Lmao while watching....never had seen them.
  6. Here's wishing you many more healthy laps around the sun........Al
  7. Anything written by Robert Ludlum(Bourne series) or Clive Clusser(Dirk Pitt series). What an imagination these guys must have..
  8. Another good reason to stay off Facebook, lol.
  9. Dont venture south to the upper reaches of Santee-Cooper. The upper lake is absolutely littered with them. You may spend the day killing snakes if you are flipping trees. They seem to be in every bush after you spot the first one. A local actually suggested putting a transistor radio on the bow of the boat with the speaker facing forward in order to warn the snakes of your presence.. He claimed you can hear them dropping into the water ahead your boat. This obviously was a long time ago.
  10. I've had both and like both. As far as foot controlled motors, I like the MK motor but the MG pedal. If you operate in heavy weeds MK gets the nod, as their props perform better in heavy weeds. But both make good units and should last much longer than yours have lasted.
  11. Good advice. I replace my spark plugs anytime the engine seems a little sluggish, much like you described, usually about once a year. I also use my boat year round. I would suggest running a mixture of Seafoam all the time, or at least occasionally to help keep your engine clean. This can prevent/delay the problem you described. It is also a good idea to run you boat wide open(full throttle) for 60 seconds or so just before putting it on the trailer to help keep the engine clean.
  12. Thanks Sam, very interesting.
  13. I can't imagine any big name coaches taking that job. There are just to many problems to overcome. At least until the NCAA is done with them.
  14. Loosen the knob on the mount. This will allow the shaft to rotate inside the breakaway part of the mount.
  15. I believe you can mount it below the water line as long as the tubing, at least a few inches, runs above the water line. This is to prevent water back flowing into the pump. The more tubing above the water line the better.
