  1. Yes, I only use the mobile version. I do not have a smart craft gauge that is compatible.
  2. I have one for my Pro XS (115 hp version). Only takes a couple of mins to install and is very user friendly. I have only had the boat for a few months so haven't had any error codes come across yet, but that feature and the hour gauge were big enough reasons for me to pull the trigger on it.
  3. Sierra has a heavy Lews Custom Pro and Custom Plus for 50% off. https://www.sierra.com/lews-team-lews-custom-pro-heavy-casting-rod-15-65-wt-711-1-piece~p~52xnn/?filterString=fishing~d~14%2F https://www.sierra.com/lews-custom-plus-super-grip-extra-heavy-casting-rod-15-65-wt-711-1-piece~p~52xnv/?filterString=fishing~d~14%2F
  4. I'm going on a fly-in fishing trip to a remote part of NW Ontario this September (assuming they proceed with border reopening), and was wonder if any of you have had luck getting mapping for remote lakes for your fishing finding units. We went two years and walleye were up shallow so it was not difficult to locate them, but with us going later in the year, I think it might be a little more difficult as they will be deeper and would like to bring my Garmin 93SV from my boat. Is my only option to purchase the Garmin LakeVu for Canada? Or is there another option for just this one lake (Lake McVicar). Thanks in advance!
  5. If the boat is relatively new (say 2015+) the four-stroke engines are very reliable and should provide minimal issues. Obviously there is always the possibility of a major costly repair happening, but I would feel very confident in any newer four stroke engine (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki and etc). I have seen rental boats with Mercury and Yamaha 115-150 HP have close to 1000 hours with the only maintenance being the routine oil/lower unit changes, water pump, and spark plugs.
  6. 2021 Crestliner XF 189 I picked up last week. I have really enjoyed it so far and loving the Merc 4-stroke!
  7. I recently went through a similar boat search and I would suggest checking out the Lund Renegade 1775 and the Crestliner XFC 179. Both are a step above the tracker (imo) but below Ranger and Vexus. I went with one model size bigger in the Crestliner 189 with a 115. Based on the pricing I saw, I would think you could get the Crestliner 179 with a 90 HP for low 20's or the Lund for about $1.5-2k more. You might run into a problem of finding one available with how backed up the factories are.
  8. Thanks again everyone for sharing your thoughts. I ordered a Crestliner XF 189 with at 115 pro XS! Now I just have to be patient and wait 7 weeks for it to arrive! I was amazed to see the minimal inventory among almost all dealers I talked to.
  9. Thank you everyone for your responses. I looked at some boats this week and was very impressed with the Crestliner 189. Went to the dealership expecting to like the Lund Renegade more, but the Crestliner caught my eye. Anyone have any experience with this boat? Also for budget reasons, the fiberglass rig will have to wait for a future time. Will also potentially bring this boat up to Canada, so the aluminum with have it's advantages there.
  10. I have spent the last 12+ years at LOZ during the summer and there is definitely no fishing boat that can handle weekends after 11 am. I would mostly be fishing on weekdays and when I do on weekends, i either go really early, or stay in the cove. Planning to go to Pros Choice this week to check out all of the options and see the some of these models side by side. Appreciate the insight!
  11. Hi everyone, I have read some threads similar to this but wanted to see if anyone had any additional feedback. Looking to upgrade from my 2003 tracker panfish (stick steer) to something bigger and more comfortable. I fish on Lake of the Ozarks, so the current boat limits my options to our large cove and some other nearby coves and points within a couple of miles. I would like to have the ability to fish more areas within a 10 mile radius of our place (outside of the hectic Saturdays where any fishing boat would get tossed around in). I already have a slip and lift, so the boat would rarely get trailered. Preferences: 18-19 ft tin with 115 4 stroke (Ranger, Tracker, Lowe or Xpress) - Would all of these ride pretty similar? I have heard great things about Xpress, and would there be a noticeable difference in rougher water? While I originally had my mind set on a aluminum model, I have seen some appealing Triton 179 (18.5 ft) and Nitro Z-7 with either 115-150 motors. Would there be a big advantages in the ride with one of those fiberglass models vs a Ranger RT188 or Tracker 190? I'm also pretty set on a 4-stroke, and it seems like most of those models in my price range are equipped with an optimax, but can wait and find some with a 4-stroke. Dream boat would eventually be a Lund Pro V or Crestliner Bass Hawk, but that will have to wait for a future time when the used prices become more affordable. Please let me know if you have any feedback to share!
  12. I can’t add any insight into the tatula elite or 100, but I saw Midway is having really good deals on blemished elite models. $100 off the 7.1.1 rh model. https://www.midwayusa.com/ltd/product?pid=595767
  13. Anyone have experience with the Lews tournament carbon reel? I have an opportunity to buy a used one for around $50, but can’t seem to find much about it (discontinued model). It does have a graphite frame, which is not ideal for a real that was originally priced at $129. If anyone has used one please share your thoughts!
  14. Thanks for all the responses. Though I primarily fish for bass, I also enjoy walleye and pike fishing. So if it's too early for the smallmouth it shouldn't be too big of deal as long as walleye and pike are biting at that time.
  15. Hi, I'm looking into the possibility of doing a fishing trip in ontario with a large group of friends. We are looking at the Seine River chain of lakes right by Atikokan. Has anyone ever fished there or know anything about it? We plan on going up the last full week of May. Also if anyone knows of any other places in ontario where you are able to camp and rent boats I would appreciate any help. Thanks
