  1. Planning on attending Kentucky Lake. I've seen and heard that craw fish are red there and maybe have a hint of blue/red flake. Also, I've seen paca craws with a color called Kentucky Special. Finally, I've read that purple with green pumpkin is a good color for Kentucky Lake. Does anyone else have experience with color knowledge for baits to use at the lake?
  2. I'm in Indianapolis and I would love to make it to Kentucky Lake. The resort Long Mike talked about looks fabulous.
  3. I've had some success on Missile baits fuse. I've had small success on craws in my pond. My Siebert jigs have produced most of my fish. I swim, drag, and flip 'em. I continue to try different methods and baits' but Siebert jigs always get the job done for me.
  4. Yeah, I'm in Indy, and that drive would destroy me. It would be great to have an unofficial road trip here in the midwest sometime! I think there are a lot of people here on B.R. that live in the midwest and would like to get together and fish!
  5. Give Siebert Outdoors a try! Quality jigs, terminal tackle and other products. Personally, I wouldn't buy BPS jigs over Siebert's. I've had such great experiences with his jigs that I wouldn't look elsewhere.
  6. Siebert Outdoors
  7. I lost one of my Siebert jigs because I didn't make a fresh knot. The loss d**n near killed me!
  8. I have the bama color in the dredge and I put a rage craw on the back. I was able to flip/pitch/hop/drag. I have also caught a ton of fish just swimming the jig.
  9. I've had this happen to me. I would fish a gamakatsu hook 3/0 with a zoom horny toad on braided line, but I would be fine. When switched to a vmc hook, it seemed to be heavier and draw the toad down and start spinning. I might have had a bad knot to begin with. What equipment are you using? Line? Hook? Bait?
  10. Be sure to call Mike at Siebert Outdoors. He is a great big help and he makes awesome jigs!
  11. I've used Missile Baits twin turbo. Mojito and white/pearl. I've used them as jig trailers and rage tail rigged them and caught plenty of fish!
  12. Rage tail baits are the cats pajamas, man! Bama craw color gets slammed like crazy here in Indy. I also got a few packs of Rage bugs from Siebert Outdoors!
  13. I've made two orders to Siebert and those jigs flat out catch fish. I've got eight jigs total and all of the jigs have caught multiple fish consistently for me this past month. I've had jigs before from name brand companies, but I didnt get the results that I am getting from Siebert. GREAT company, great delivery time, great quality and plenty of styles and colors to choose from.
  14. I put in an order last week for jigs. I'm really excited to see how they look. I've heard a lot of great things about Siebert Outdoors!
  15. Im fishing the rage craw with an 1/8 oz weight not pegged, and swimming it slowly back to me. Tonight, the body was rolling and not staying straight. I switched to a twin turbo grub and the body would also roll in a clockwise motion. Can anyone suggest something I might be doing wrong. Thank you in advance!
  16. Yeah, man! I still have days like that every now and again. Sometimes ill leave the lake in a really tick poor mood and want to quit. But, by the time I get home, I wishing' I was on the water!
  17. I had great success today with Zoom fluke pearl/chart tail. Caught 3, 2lb bass in about an hour today.
  18. In my experience, Zoom flukes are durable and affordable. I caught three 2lb bass and still was able to use the same fluke. They were pounding the snot out of that fluke.
  19. I fish because I'm in the moment. When I fish, I am. I don't have to judge myself, worry about what others think of me, or even think about serious problems in my life. When I'm fishing, and really in the groove, I'm one with everything.
  20. I'm located in Indy and my pond finally thawed today. I tried mike iaconellis devil spear on a vmc 1/8 swim hook and I didn't think too much of it. It was running sideways most of the time. The tail did have some nice action. I'm interested in trying the shock wave. I already like flipping the d bomb.
  21. Yeah, I'm starting to feel like a junkie! Itching to catch some bass!
  22. I eat homemade energy bars with honey/cashews/almonds/chia seeds/pecans/ dried fruit. It doesn't have unnecessary sugars so you won't experience any crash. There's tons of recipes for different versions. Can't forget PB&J, too!
  23. I'm thinking about goin tomorrow! Did you see the water skiing squirrel?
