  1. This may give you a better idea of the lake's size and color. Watch out for the water moccasins though.
  2. Saw a couple LM pulled out of there. Caught a nice one myself.
  3. *northeast lake
  4. Vista View is a great spot. Saw a couple alum pulled out of there. Especially good for bluegill and cichlids. The cichlids put up a hell of a fight for their small size (good fish for beginners). Fish by the mini dock on the southern of the part of the northwest lake. You can literally see the fish from the dock. Also seen some catfish in there if you're interested. The cichlids and bluegill go crazy for bread. Attached is a picture of the cichlids beautiful fish.
  5. AGamarra I live in savannah as well I caught my personal best (which you can see in my pic) at the lake right in front of the community pool. I lost a big one yesterday probably 6 pounder across the street. Maybe we'll see each other someday.
  6. My favorite bait to fish top water is the horny toad. I recently started fishing with it and actually haven't caught anything on it but the fish simply explode on it when fished top water. I only have experience with the watermelon red color. Are there any other colors that are successful for fishing the south florida area?
  7. My brother caught his personal best largemouth bass 5 pounder on bread. Has anybody else had luck fishing south florida with bread?
  8. The Solunar Calendar predicts this week will be great in South Florida. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews about it. What do y'all think?
  9. My friend and I are really interested in catching some Peacocks. Our friends catch big'uns in their ponds and lakes but don't want to share their spots. Please any help is appreciated. We don't know what we're doing.
  10. Thanks Y'all and to be honest fly fisher idk I stopped playing baseball and I had recently bought new batting gloves so I found a good use for them. I have always fished with gloves personal preference I guess.
  11. I caught my personal best today in my own backyard. Proves you ain't gotta go far to catch tanks weighed in at 4 pounds 3 ounces. Caught her on a watermelon seed senko. What a fight! Anyone else catch a big'un ?
  12. So my family and I go up to Tallahassee to visit my brother quite often. Last time we were there we saw this lake: Lake Ella it looks like it might have some good fish but we aren't sure. Does anybody fish regularly in the Tallahassee area ? What bait works good up north ?
  13. I don't live in that area but what I do and I learned from bassresource is look up your area on google earth. Google earth has old pictures as well as the newer ones so maybe a couple years back there was a drought that way you'll see what kind of cover there is and you can spend more time fishing those coverage spots rather than open water.
  14. The overcast skies today in Southeat Florida made for good fishing weather. Anybody catch a big 'un? What would be your favorite baits to use on an overcast day like this one?
  15. I haven't been able to find them at bps but I'll definitely check online thanks MCS
  16. I've been interested in picking up some and testing them out but I can't seem to find them where do y'all get them?
  17. So, I have fished for a while in the Broward County Area and have come up with a lot of bass. However, recently I have gotten more into bass fishing and have caught many small bass this year including bass as small as half a pound. I typically use a baby bass fluke by zoom, a horny toad by zoom, or some natural color senkos. Are there any good ponds or parks I should be fishing in the Broward County Area or am I not using the right bait ? I'd appreciate any advice.
