  1. I really like the look of them. No where around here has any but I will be ordering some. I think I'm gonna wish the tails were a bit shorter.
  2. Dennis teitje is a solid pick. Knows the waters real well and has to do good things this year to stay on the tour. Tommy baffle is also probably a good pick. He is generally near the top on tough lower weight tournaments. Maybe Gary Klein as a guy shot?
  3. The Bps cranking stick is as solid of a cranking rod as any imo.
  4. Missile baits shockwave in either she that they are made. Colors wise I like any shad color.
  5. Can you find these deals shopping online too?
  6. Wish I would have lucked up on those duckett a for sure.
  7. I use 20 lb flouro forest of my flipping. If I don't have any for some reason in a pinch the only other thing I flip with is trlene big game in 20 or in the real nearly stuff 30. That is some tough stuff period! I only flip with braid if I'm punching.
  8. The weed guard is definitely a need. If you were to take it off it would snag just about any cover. If you are fiahing real heavy cover you can cut a few pieces of the weed guard off which will make it a little more limber. I don't ever have a probably with them impeding my hook up ratio though.
  9. I actually put my own together. I buy the Arlie brand heads that have the goofy hook from Walmart. Take the hook off and attach 2 quality split rings and the appropriate Trokar hook I am needing. This also give me the option to easily and quickly change hooks with a pair of split ring players.
  10. I use flouro on all my treble baits whether it be deep or shallow cranks. It just gives that little bit extra feel. I do throw them on a medium rod at the heaviest to counter the no stretch. ..: that being said I throw swim baits one 20lb trilene big game. I like it for the fact that it castes well and is about the toughest stuff out there.( disclaimer I still use flouro for swim baits when fishing them deep)
  11. They are awesome. If you are having problems with panfish nibbling claws rig it with the hook through the head. It will still have great action but might keep the nibbles down.
  12. I throw seagar red label on most of my rods. I treat it with kvd line and lure. It fishes great in my opinion. If it were me I'd stick with seagar. Nothing against the others just have had nothing but good with it. I use it on everything but swim baits and my spinning finesse rigs. For swim baits I use monofilament. Trilene big game to be exact. It's hard to beat that stuff mono. ( I do still use flouro when fishing swim airs deep). On my go order rigs I use braided with a flouro leader.
  13. I have red label inmost of my reels as main line. I don't see a great amount of difference in it and some of the more expensive line. I do treat it with kvd line and lure. I've been going with it for 2 seasons now and have had absolutely no problems.
  14. 20lb flouro or 20lb big game. 25 or 30lb for jigs. Big games is hard to beat.
  15. My thing is I don't know what hydrilla looks like underneath. Once it tops out does it become thin or does it stay thick all the way down?
