  1. Thanks it's reassuring to hear from folks that have ordered from Japan I have often contemplated a order and always backed out. The Jdm reels are so very nice..
  2. That is super nice! I really like that ! Thanks for the info and the pic
  3. So sounds like you have not had any problems ordering from JT ? I would like to have a shallow spool too... But I gotta tell Ya I sent a few emails to Jun and never received a answer... I began to think that my carrier (service) was blocking it . That's been awhile though you know a aftermarket spool that will work on cu51e ch50e
  4. You all are making valid points here. Which is exactly why I decided to participate by joining rather than just browse like I have for a couple years. This site for largemouth has the smartest group of anglers I have seen anywhere on the net! Thanks to everyone!
  5. Sounds to me that 50 pd is all I will need for heavy work, that scorp. Man it is awesome! I almost ordered that from Japan tackle and chickened out ! Well thanks for the info, good luck on the delta.. I hear that drought is way bad
  6. That really was my original plan based on a guy who I met at Bps who fished flw for a awhile he had a boating accident... Anyway that's what he said full braid.... When it's color goes or it's getting roughed up , pull in off and swap it end for end back to the spool. Seems like both ways will work... Idk!
  7. Yes that's a very fair price for a 100yd spool so I guess with a good mono backing that should be plenty I would think. Thanks for the tip
  8. Thanks for the information.. It's great to hear from folks who have used the 50/51 platform for heavy work... I intend to give them a whirl! Thanks!
  9. Yes! Awesome tip.... Thank you! That makes super sense! Thank you
  10. Yes I have thought about that... So which method should I use? And why?
  11. I did pick up a 600 yd spool of suffix siege for 1.98 at BPS 8 pd clear. Not my fave but at that price I will use it... I think?
  12. Yea...right next to BPS..lol ! Dang that's a awesome price I will check them tomarrow hey thanks for the tip! That's a great deal!
  13. Yea that's a little better... I think I will go with regular power pro and see how well I like it before buying the super slick . Appreciate it!
  14. Geez.. Braid ain't cheap! I left BPS without any. 300yd close to 40$ for 65pp super s guess I will look around on line see if I can bet that price. Then again I may have to just bite the bullet.
  15. Iam at Bass pro right now any particular brand TY!
  16. Ok so I am old school on lines.... But it's time for me to spool up braid on my 50 or my 51 however iam still not convinced I can use this reel as my heavy flipping reel... But she's going to get the chance. What do you believe is a realistic strength for this reel as a heavy cover reel? What about general duty strength eg. Bottom contact t-rigs, jigs I can't deny it's exceptional feel and me having a few pinched nerves in right arm and back... I could see it helping me recover some lost feel. Also drag settings, don't even want to break a rod over braid so what pound should I set it to slip ? Or full lock down? So anybody ? Shoot me your opinion . As always thank you for your knowledge !
  17. Well for me it's a rattle bait, I also have been using a swim jig with a plastic thumper tail I put on.last is a spinnerbait ,That's early in the year though and seasons change things. Sometimes I don't have to search.. Then it maybe a non weighted fluke setup over mats or senko... Make them come out of the mats and grab those slow sinking plastics... That is a little later .. Like early summer but really as you have read from the other guys... Same baits keep showing up.. Cause they work! Good luck and as always happy fishing!
  18. Congrats on you're good deal! Hope you enjoy them
  19. I have never seen anything like that for freshwater fishing. That's incredible !
