  1. This is 100% true based on my experiences. I paired my Dobyns Savvy with my Lews Tournament Pro and they didn't balance out at all. The Lews was super light and that made my Dobyns feel tip heavy. After that, I got a Daiwa Tatula to put onto the Dobyns and now its balanced better than before. The best part about this was putitng my Lews onto my Shimano Cumara which made it EXTREMELY light. Also, when you buy it go on eBay. I bought my Tatula off eBay for 20% off the original price and I was able to find the Type-R on sale for the same amount. If you already bought the reel, then just ignore this part.
  2. Boomerang Tool by far. Keeps it's edge after constant use, has a retractable leash and it's lightweight.
  3. It might be the worm gear. I had the same problem with it running over something so I sent it in. I think you can also purchase a new worm gear and replace it or something.
  4. Go with the Lew's Speed Spool. Only cost around $90 and is a work horse, I have one on a Shimano Cumara and it balances out perfectly, super smooth retrieve, and great drag for the price.
