  7. Congrats on the success of the guided trip. I second the vote for Mike Siebert's jigs. Great craftsmanship, as well as a sponsor here at BR.
  8. Agreed. I guess my most appropriate would be "I got flipped off".
  9. Interesting... I usually hold it with the stem in the middle of my fingers. I'll have to give this a try.

  17. Congrats on some great catches. Especially the PB.
  18. Congrats on the new-to-you combo. I'm not familiar that setup, but I do like Cabela's stuff. I have several Cabela's Salt Stryker reels for surf fishing. That setup sounds pretty heavy duty, with the lure rating being 2 ¼ oz. Enjoy!
  19. Sufix 832. Strong, holds knots well, and good multipurpose line. Sufix 832 was highly suggested here when I first started using braid, so it's what I usually spool up with.
  20. Way to go! I have to start using a chatterbait more...
  21. Great tradition to uphold. Glad you had a good time & caught some fish. Just getting out on the water & wetting a line is nirvana.

  24. Berkley Lightning Rod Shock spinning rod - right at your budget level. Get a 6'6" medium. Comes in either 1 or 2 piece, to suit your transportation choice. Lightweight & strong. Pflueger reels are a great bang for your buck. Good luck.
  25. Great catch. Congrats!
