Are you fishing from a boat? As fish devil stated, the scullers have ruined the fishing there. With all the scull boats, gas powered coach boats, and lane markers, it's not what it used to be.
Crap, that's terrible. I hope that never happens to anyone, but it brings up a thought. Perhaps attaching a luggage type tag to gear bags would help in recovering items, if found by a decent person.
