  14. Yup - straight braid, no leader ever.
  15. I don't have any experience with these, but I saw a lipless crankbait that had the bottom hook moved up to the top of the lure to avoid hang ups. They're called Backstabber lures. Maybe this will work for you.

  18. I agree with Fishes in trees... If your inquiring about copolymer lines now, a lot of people fish using either Yo-Zuri Hybrid or P-line CXX. I tend to use braid for most of my fishing.
  19. Shimano Stradic CI4+ Spinning Reel.
  20. A lot has been written about the Shimano Stradic CI4+ Spinning Reel, so don't hesitate to get one. (or more). It's my favorite spinning reel. St Croix rods are my favorite. Together they make a great combo.
