  2. Smokinal nailed this. Important tactics for early season fishing with jerkbaits are fishing it deep with painfully long pauses on your retrieve. I personally like using a lipless crankbait.

  20. The Pflueger 35 size will be fine. Pflueger reel sizing tends to run smaller than most other reel manufacturers, if you're reading the model numbers. I found that this is about how it works: The XX25 is slightly bigger than 1000 The XX30 is slightly bigger than a 2000 The XX35 is slightly bigger than a 2500 The XX40 is similar to a 3000-3500

  22. I can only suggest stopping at a local Bait & Tackle shop to get answers to that question. I usually do that to: - help support local businesses - get some local advice - get an opportunity to buy more tackle!
