  1. Got that but I was referring to what he listed. He didnt mention anything about flipping/pitching or jerkbaits. I use the 7:1+ just like you except I use a 6:1 for my swim jigs and top waters(sammies) and worm fishing. He is new to casting so I was speaking on a more overall setup I guess. Sorry OP, I'm done clogging up your ad. GLWS.
  2. These reels would only be desirable for frog fishing by most of us. Just something to keep in mind. I personally think looking for 6:1 ratio reel would be better. You are right in between and would be an overall better ratio to use for techniques on both sides. Just me .02. Good luck
  3. absolutely not....born and raised Florida Gator! No link, but I attached the PDF. MWR Bass Tournament Rules 2014.pdf
  4. I'm an active duty Marine who is planning to fish the Armed Forces tournament on March 8 on the Kissimmee Chain as a non-boater. I'm originally from central FL and I'm looking possibly to pair up with someone from the area who has fished the chain. No Pro-anglers or guides of the chain. Only 1 of 2 on the team have to carry an active duty ID card, retired, DoD, etc. If anybody is seriously interested about it I can give you more details regardless if you want to enter it yourself with another angler. I'm looking to have a good time the whole week on the water but would like to try and place as well. Thanks!
  5. Hey gents/gals, I've been surfing around on site for a while and just now decided to create an account. I am here on the coast in southeast NC but originally from central FL (i miss the fishing there!!!). I have just recently returned to bass fishing in the past 6 months. Golf is too aggravating for the plethora of money I have put into that, and drag racing, my other love is limited. So after giving golf a break, I'm back out on the water hunting the hawgs. A lot of blackwater river fishing around here which is a big difference then back home in FL. The only lakes I've fished here are Lake Sutton, Sharon/harris res, and Lake Waccamaw. Glad to be here.
