    Maple Lake 33" 7.5 lbs Northern Pike
    on July 26th 2016 this 33" 7.5 lbs northern pike I caught this on a 1.5 kvd square bill shad. Rod 7' Boyd Duckett Med.Hvy.spinning rod and Shimano Stratic st 4000XGFK reel w 30lbs Jaybraid line. This was a 13 year old pike,according to biologist. Gregory Alwes angler.

    Hi Anglers,I was by Maple Lake and it's getting a face lift.A new Bait & Boat house is under construction,looks great.Now they need to put more fish in that lake.

    Hi, IL anglers Greg here just got off of Maple Lake caught a 3.5 lb large mouth bass. I found out some bad news Cook County is not going to put rental boats out this year,to bad it could have been better fishing on that lake.

    I use the Garcia Veritas 7' MF it's a great action rod I match it with Garcia MGX and can fish all day.Can't beat that combo.I also have the Premier but thats a spinning rod not bad at all. Hope that helped,have a great fishing season.Greg

    I have a Quantum Smoke PT series trigger baitcaster 7' MHF.BPS has this rod SKC706F $159. I've been using this rod for little over a year.It's a very light rod I match it with the Quantum PT reel.I can fish this combo all day.Hope this helped.Have a great fishing season.Greg

    Some really good rods.I use the Duckett crank'in rod 7' MHF ,I fish it with the Abu Garcia MGX reel.I could fish all day with this combo it is really light.Have a great year fishing.Greg

    Look at the Mitchell 300 series I've been using those reels for 35 years.Very smooth casting and retrieve.Have a great fishing season.Greg

    Go for it it's a very good rod.I got the crankbait rod and I love it. I'm going to use this rod with the Ardent Pro Edge reel.Can't wait.Have a great season of fishing.Greg

    The BPS extreme MHF with the POWERHUMP GRIP is a very nice rod for crank'in.I've been using this rod for two years now and caught alot of LMB.Have a great season.Greg

    I've been having a problem with Fluoro & Mono curling up I put it on the spool correctly. It happens when I'm casting.Has anybody got a solution to this problem.Thanks Greg

    The St.Croix Rage 7' MHF is a good choice.I use it for crankbaits and jigs.

    If you have'nt already, look into the St.Croix Rage 7' MHF and a Ardent Pro Edge out standing balance.You could cast all day with this combo.

    I use Master Braid 20 lbs small diameter and easy to tie on leader.

    BassPro extreme 7.0' MHF.It has the PowerHump Grip. A rod you could fish with all day.

    I was pitching jigs with trailors under boat houses and docks at Tomahawk Lake in Minocqua WI. caught 3 to 5 lb large mouth Bass they were really active.Using a Abu Garcia Veritas MF 7' with garcia Mgx great combo.

    I like my Ardent Edge Pro it has something new, Drag Tracking Technology.When casting the line guide tracks the line going out,so you have less drag and friction.You can cast much further to cover more real estate. Get those Lunkers. Greg

    I think PowerPro Green Moss is a good color.Don't forget to tie on some Mono or Fluorocarbon Before the braid so it does'nt harm the spool or slippage. I use 20lb test.Hope this helps.Hope this helps.

    I've got the Basspro Extreme ETR70MHT MHF found it to be one of my better rods .It has the PowerHumpGrip,feels great with a baitcasting reel on it. I can fish all day.Hope that help. Good fishing

    It's a fine rod like it's brother baitcasting rod.Great feel and sensitive rods
