  1. I'm always up to meet people and love learning to fish. Met one guy here on the forum and been out a couple times with him. Nice guy and have had fun. What lakes you fish at? I'll be ready to hit the water after the first of the year.
  2. That down by the pumping stations? Still on jerk bait? Man i wanna get a 10+ to brag about. Lol
  3. 22? What were we doing wrong? What colors were you using? Where were you throwing? What kinda technique?
  4. When out with Mike to west point yesterday, got on the lake a little later than we should've (1030ish). Birds were swarming pretty close to yellow jacket, caught a good one probably 9-10#, but lost it trying to get it on the boat. Had a few more hits but couldn't get anything to stick. I would like to go back and try again.
  5. 10lb'ers, that sounds like fun! Mike, I'll be happy to make that trip with you if you have a seat open
  6. Sure. I might try to be out there this weekend sometime. I go right under the bridge. There's a lot of rocks there, that have claimed a lot of my tackle, i would think the fish like.
  7. Hopefully this isn't a dumb question or rehashing older threads. What's a good spot/area to bank/dock fish on Lanier this time of year? North or South side? From what I've read the bass move north then back South before heading back north for the spawn. I've been up around Clark's bridge and it seems like there's a lot less action there the past week or two. Are the fish heading back South to warmer and deeper water? Should i go further north out head South some? I'm trying to learn their habits and such from people more knowledgeable than i. Thanks.
  8. Just want to say went to lake Jackson yesterday with pancity and had a good time. Nice guy, full of information and patient with the new guy. Hopefully get to meet others and learn from then too.
  9. Thanks for the welcome.
  10. Thx pancity. When you usually go out on the lake? I'd like to check out a new lake. Be happy to split expenses.
  11. Hey all! So I got hooked on fishing (bass mostly) about a year ago. My ex and her family are big hunters and fishers and I got hooked on fishing. We mostly were out on Lake Oconee but did go to Clarks Hill a few times too. I started to learn about the sport and such and enjoy it. Now that I'm single I've lost access to a boat so I've been hitting the banks at Lanier and trying to get more proficient with my baitcaster and not losing so many lures . Anyways, tips, tricks, advice, good fishing spots or making new friends would all be great. Thanks, Michael
  12. Hey folks! I live in the lawrenceville area and am fairly new to fishing. I started about a year ago with my ex-wife and her family but have become limited to bank fishing now. I am pretty close to Lanier and go up there as much as I can but get a bit frustrated because I'm limited to the banks and I've not mastered the baitcaster just yet. Hopefully one day I can get out on a boat and have more fun and success, as well as learning more and making some friends. Michael
