As a co-angler fishing tournaments, I want to carry as little as possible but have what I need. My question is: If you could only carry 4 colors of soft plastics, what would those colors be??
I have 3 of them. I have the 6'8" Jerkbait Rod, the 6'10" spinnerbait rod and the 7'3" multipurpose rod. I love them. Have not had any problems at all. Very sensitive
I have a Cabela's Magnum size bag that I carry. It will hold about 8 - 3700 series boxes. However, I use the 3600 series boxes instead and it will hold about 15 of those. I carry just a few colors of different plastics and a small amount of different hard baits. Works great.
I currently have 11 Denali Rods and reels to accompany with them. When tournament fishing, I usually take 6 to 8 in the boat depending on the possible techniques to be used.
Everybody gets put on the waiting list at first. Later on, you will receive notification that you are in the tournament. This happened to me this past year when I signed up.
By linking with someone, it guarantees that the boater gets to use his boat in the tournament and that you get to fish. If there are more co-anglers than boaters, a non-linked co-angler could go home without fishing. You don't necessarily get to fish with your link. It is a computer draw. You might however. I have been fishing this way for several years and have drawn my link a couple of times but not normally.
I have been fishing tournaments as a co-angler for 6 years now and have yet to win a tournament. In fact, this year, I am 7th in points out of 152 in BFL Arkie and have yet to even win any money.
I am a Denali Pro-staffer and absolutely love all their rods. I currently have 11 of them. I own a Kovert 7'6" Crankbait rod and use it often. Don't know if I can compare to others. I previously had Duckett Rods and loved them too. Just got a better deal with Denali.
I have a couple speed spools and a couple laser mg reels. I have not developed an opinion, except to say that that was the best choice I made to swap to Lew's. I love them.
I realize that I will get many many responses but I have to ask:
What is your favorite brand of line for Braid, Mono, or Fluoro?
Sufix, Seaguar, Maxima, Gamma, etc.
