Thanks guys! I want to cook 1 or 2 bass if I catch them at Charlottesville, so I think I'll be fine then. That's a Brazilian Redtail Catfish: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redtail_catfish that I caught in North of Brazil (near Amazon, 2000 miles away from home lol, since I live on the South). That beast had 45kg and a 40 minutes fight before I managed to see it. Its fishing is catch and release only tho, it's prohibited to kill it.

I'm not from the US so I have no idea how this works and I didn't find any info about this elsewhere: can I fish in Virginia and bring a fish to Washington D.C. (for example to cook)? How does the regulation work? Thank you!

Hey, I'm from Brazil and I'll be in Charlottesville on December/13 and 14 and while there I would love to try some bass or trout fishing. Pardon me if this question will sound stupid, but I wonder if is it possible to fish at Mint Springs Park or Chris Greene Lake Park on those dates? I wonder if is the winter a concern? Also, can I fly fish trout at Mint Springs without a boat? I'll probably record some footage for my father's Brazilian TV Fishing Show (www.pescadinamica.com.br), so if anyone wants to partner with me I'd love to record with you, specially that it will be my first time fishing on the US.
