  1. NY State 7.0 lbs / 11.25 lbs = .62222222 .62222 * 100 = 62.2! Good score i guess, more than halfway to the state record!
  2. Yea they are very cool. There are thousands of little eggs on that first bed, its hard to see in the video but its cool!
  3. Thanks to all of you! I did not bring my fishing gear when i went filming. I was fishing there the day before however and i only managed one, actually its the same fish that you see in the first clip, (Same bed, same size). They aren't really eating. I got her just as a reaction to something moving around on her bed and she nailed it. Its about that phase now where the eggs are being laid and nobody's eating But soon i will catch them
  4. Hello there! Today i went to a pond that i usually fish to film the spawning bass in the shallow water. They were pretty curious with the camera and weren't that spooked. Amazing creature, just to see them in their nature.
  5. Yea it had a nice wacky trailer on the jig and we pushed it into its nose and it striked
  6. Hello there, so today i went fishing at a pond that i usually go to. The pond generally has 2-3 lbers maybe a 4 lber here and there. Nothing humungous but its always fun to fish there. Today was so slow fishing, but the fish the were very active- just not active in feeding. They were all gathered up in their beds. This one bed, that was very shallow and contained a nice male, about 2 lbs, and a nice female, which was 2 lbs 8 oz. So we were tossing everything at them and they were just emotionless, sometimes an occasional interest but nothing significant. The lures were right under their noses and they had no reaction. As we were packing up, my friend took a final cast with a flipping jig. At this time the male and female had gathered on the bed and were circling around next to each other on the bed. My friend reels the jig right past them and out of pure reaction of the lure's movement, the female instinctively nails the lure! It was insane. All of a sudden there was a splash and the sound of drag being pulled. We landed the fish and she measured 17 in, and weighed 2 lbs 8oz. Here is the fish : Here is the spawning bed:
  7. Hello, this morning i am going to fish a manmade pond. The bass are currently pairing up with mates and creating beds and the weather is sunny today 60 degrees+. In this video you can take a look at the spot: note* different conditions are in the video: What lure would have the best chance of getting these bedding bass to bite?
  8. they are many sizes biggest can get pretty big like 6 in from side to side. smallest are like 2 in. then there are sizes all in between
  9. Has anyone done this? Down by the pond where i fish in Southern Florida there are always tons of frogs i catch and i once thought about live lining them for big bass. These ponds have some nice 10+ lbers in them and i wanna change it up with live topwater bait. How should i rig one and do you think it would work?
  10. At least the ground was wet; better than being dry
  11. This morning started with lots of wind and light rain, scattered heavy rain clouds, and i thought about the incoming front and figured the bass must be actively eating. The ponds haven't been active quite yet, Spring has been slow to arrive, but i figured it was worth yet another try at the lake to see if they were active. And whad'ya know they are crazy active, nailing my lipless crankbait. This pond doesn't necessarily hold big slounches but it has some nice sized fish. Biggest one i caught today was just under 3 lbs. Here's the video i recorded with my GoPro
  12. Here in New York things are still slow. They are starting to turn back on but on at specific lakes. Not all spots, many of them actually, aren't active. I have caught some fish though in the past week at this one spot that is active.
  13. Spring is waking up slowly. She wasn't awake 2 weeks ago though, at all
  14. Finally i got my first bass of Spring. Even though he fought like a pile of weeds it was a great feeling!
  15. lol its stlil off here
  16. nothing! Everything has been unfrozen for about 2 weeks now and air temperatures have maxed a little bit over 60 degrees. I tried all kinds of lures; the bass are still are asleep! It was like 55 degrees and the sun was out this afternoon, so i figured that it was worth a shot. Its odd how these spots are not yet "awake" yet another lake i fish is awake, i've caught a couple there already last week. Come on spring! Hurry up!
  17. Thanks! Yes it was a good idea, assembled the photos myself, i'll probably do it for all videos i make
  18. Smooth casting or extra tough? Differences? Suggestions? Thanks Welds
  19. 80 degree weather?!? go anywhere man!
