  1. You gotta get it! It's really nice
  2. I haven't confirmed there is grass, but based on the weeds I get on jigs I believe there is
  3. Yea, senko's are top at this spot. Jigs usually bring up a lot of muck and weeds if they are on the floor. I gave you a lipless crank!
  4. How would you fish it!? #2 I thought this would be a interesting, fun idea: I give you a photo of a spot and i give you the current conditions. You are given five baits that you must pick from to use. Some of the baits may be difficult to use during given conditions or new to you. You must chose a bait from the five baits, explain your reasoning, and how would you work it (speed, etc.) The spot: Conditions: Sunny, few clouds in sky, warm water, late May, mid to high 70's ( degrees ), rapid dropoff to deep hole, stained water, mid day, slight breeze The baits: [photos not actual scale] 1. Strike King Redeye Shad, Bluegill color. 1/2 oz 2. Gary Yamamoto Senko, 5 inches, Pumpkin black flake color 3. Strike King KVD Jerkbait, Crystal shad color 4. Storm Live Kickin' Minnow 5. Moreau Baits Topwater Field Mouse
  5. Yes exactly my thinking
  6. Thanks for the input!!
  7. Interesting! And yes I will probably do another soon, maybe tommorow, with a new spot and random lures. Thanks
  8. True! They'd grab that lizard if it were to crawl across their bed
  9. You're an unadaptable fisherman

  16. Hello everyone, I've been looking to get into frog fishing and im going to buy a spro topwater frog. I am stuck on which one to buy and which colors. So what is each spro frog's advantage and which is your favorite? Which are the best colors for day w/ clear skies, day w/ clouds and nighttime Thanks - Welds
  17. This was from last summer down in South Florida, and i've been meaning to see what everyone on the forums thinks the weight is. We didn't have scales at the time but we measured and she was 23 inches long. We estimated the weight by just holding her that she weighed 8 to 8.5 lbs. How much do you think it weighed? My friend caught this monster on a senko
  18. Suffix braid is your solution
  19. 4/o gamakatsu ewg offset for northeast 5/o's for florida
  20. I was fishing this small pond today from the shore and I got over 30 bass! It was insane they were nailing jerkbaits and spinnerbaits. Most of them took it right when the lure hit the water. (images below) Too bad they all were <9 inches But they look cool
  21. Sweet fish! Cool looking spot! Those rocks look like sweet structure
  22. First time bass fishing I got a 6 lber and a 7 lber
  23. Hello there, I currently use 20 lb braid and I tie directly to the lure. I love the braid because of its strength and power but I always worry about whether the bass notice my visible line. Actually the other day I was tossing a jig on a bed and a bass grabbed the line about a foot away from the lure. He obviously saw it in the water. I used to use 12 lb mono but it lacked strength, especially for getting out of snags. Any mono over 12 lb is too thick and you can't get as much on the reel. I have thought about using a leader for my braid, but when you change lures the leader gets shorter and shorter. I have thought of using a clip at the end of the leader to change the lure but the bass will definitely see it.... Any suggestions?
  24. I don't know how active the post spawned are yet.. Topwater hasn't been good at prespawn nor during the spawn. They still seem to have a spawn like attitude. I've tried a jig multiple times but to no avail. But it may be a decent idea to cast it into open water, because with the jig I really was only targeted near beds
